Seems that the recession is not effecting the pockets of tweenagers with poor taste, sadly.
In his first film since ‘High School Musical’, Zac Efron has topped the box office and earned record-breaking revenue in ‘17 Again’.
The film – which also stars Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann – raked in $24.1, easily knocking off State of Play (featuring Hollywood heavyweights such as Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck), which came in second with $14.1 million.

I’m not a teenager but I was forced to watch 17 Again this Saturday with family.
It’s really NOT funny. The humor is few and far between. I had too many issues with the plot – Zac Efron is a 17 year-old version of Matthew Perry and Matthew Perry’s wife DOESN’T KNOW IT?!
What wife would not recognize a 17-year-old version of her husband, especially considering that pictures of a 17-year-old Matthew Perry are in her fucking house! And furthermore she NEVER wonders where Matthew Perry is while Zac is in the picture? Riiiiiight.
I didn’t pay for the movie but I think everyone deserves a refund.
Yikes. Sounds dire.
I feel for you and will happily pay for others, out of my own pocket. Also, your damaged retinas will forever have my sympathy.
Hahahahahahaha!
