Vivica A. Fox Will Promote Crap For Food

Oh, dear lord. I thought this video was a joke when I first saw it. Now, I adore this woman, I really do, but FTW is she thinking pimping herself out for such a tacky product – - Vivica A. Fox can be seen in the video below, in her promo for the Psychic Friends Network.

Ooooh, lordy.

Judging by this ad and that tragic weave, things must be at there worst for years. I take this as proof that the recession has finally hit Hollywood? Are other actors out there lending their face and likeness to other tacky products that I don’t know about. Is Kim Kardashian advertising catfood – - is Jessica Simpson doing voice over work for Tampons?

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF VIVICA’S ADVERT?

UPDATE: This IS a real ad, but Fox is allegedly pissed at the PFN for releasing it. (via TMZ)

I thought I heard today that this was a joke?

  2. Mystery Man says:

this has to be a joke. no way it can be real. or is she trying to be then ext dionne warrwick and earn a bunch of momney off unsuspecting folks who don’t know any better.

  3. Sigh. Well, every gal’s gotta pay the rent at some point. I remember when I had to do this years ago – sitting next to Brigette Neilson was perhaps the scariest thing I have ever encountered in my life. Red Sonya goes all Witches of Salem – it was a dark time………..

    (jes’ kiddin – –)

I think someone should start photoshopping some guys onto the psychic network adverts – Brad Pitt predicting the future with a purple moon behind him and little sparklies coming out of his hair – c’mon! Now that would be good fun!

  4. @ Firecracker – I updated this post since your comment, from what I can find on TMZ it was not a joke… Fix was just annoyed about the unofficial release.

@ Mystery Man – Again, I am pretty sure it is real. Don’t blame me, blame TMZ!

@ KMJ – I think that is one of the sides of acting no one sees. Jobs aren’t guaranteed and each actor (especially those who are female) have a finite shelf life. The only surprise is that this does not happen more.

  5. Agree – it is a harsh career choice for a woman – the leeway the men get is staggering, they can look like Nick Nolte’s mug shot and still get a job, where as the women…….there is very little appreciation in VapidTown Hollywood for a female face with age and experience.

I am so glad to be long gone from it all – the work, and the town, LA is no place to be if you are over 40.
