The team behind the last terrible movie I sat through, Saw VI, are going to be inflicting another cruddy movie on the world. Paramount has brought in screenwriter Michael R. Perry and director Kevin Greutert to helm Paranormal Activity 2. The first movie took $151 million worldwide on a $15,000 budget.
To be blunt, every horror movie I watched from 1999 to 2009 was pretty much the same. I gather all these shoestring budget films did well at the box office. So this too should be a movie-by-numbers that rakes in thick dollar.
