It’s Almost Like More Nudes Didn’t Just Leak

One thing I admire about Vanessa Hudgens is her ability to carry on as though nothing happened, even with ever-closer pictures of her clitoris floating around the Internet (those who think I’m being overly crass using that phrasing probably haven’t seen the weekend’s lesbian photos/ crotch pictures in which Hudgens is rehearsing for a pap smear). Pretending we don’t know the 22-year-old’s crotch better than her ex-boyfriends and her gynecologist put together, let’s move onto this month’s issue of Shape; shot, of course, before the leak. I’m going to assume without looking as I’m tired of accidentally finding nudes of her that way (I’m not kidding, I found the last ones by accident looking for something else), that she’s still promoting Sucker Punch. She promoted the movie in Details wearing no pants and a wet shirt. She moves on from that to bikinis that kind of make it look like she’s naked if you squint. For Shape April 2011 (which I really just typo-ed as ‘Shame,’ no kidding) she poses for the usual workout shots and gives an interview in which she addresses her sham relationship with Zac Efron.

  • On her fast food addiction back in 2007: ‘I was so unhealthy. I used to go to Cold Stone Creamery, get a tub of Butterfinger ice cream and eat it all before bedtime. And my fingers were permanently stained orange from Cheetos. When I came back [to High School Musical], I almost couldn’t get my costume on. When I finally got it zipped up, my boobs were up to my chin.’
  • On getting in shape for Sucker Punch: ‘I knew it was going to be hard but I didn’t know how hard. In the beginning I could dead lift 135 lbs. By the end, I lifted 180 lbs. I was a monster. Exercise is amazing from the inside out. I feel so alive and have more energy.’
  • On ex-boyfriend Zac Efron: ‘Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn’t the same. We grew up together. It was nice to have someone to share all those experiences with. It was a good thing. The relationship kept me grounded and because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn’t need to try to be someone that I’m not.’
