Since the passing of DJ AM, Adam Goldstein on Friday, many celebrities have been issuing their reactions. The three people who were being watched for their reactions closest were as follows; Travis Barker, who survived a plane crash along with the DJ in September 2008; Mandy Moore and also Nicole Richie, both of whom dated DJ AM.
Travis Barker used his official Twitter to issue a series of messages about his friend, DJ AM.
- Travis Barker on playing a concert: “Don’t know how I am gonna play 2night but I am for AM. My brother is gone. I love u and miss u, I’ll never forget all the good times we had,” he said.
- Travis Barker on their shared tragedy: “I’ll never forget everything we’ve been thru and every time I play the drums I’ll think of you. U were an amazing friend/DJ/human being.”
- Travis Barker’s most recent message: “Rest In Peace my brother, this really f*cks me up.”
Mandy Moore’s rep has issued a statement on behalf of the singer.
Mandy Moore reaction on the passing of DJ AM: “I am absolutely heartbroken. For those of us lucky enough to have known him, Adam radiated a contagious exuberance for life and also personified the very definition of a true friend . To say that he will be missed beyond words is an understatement. My heart goes out to his loved ones.”
At the time of publishing, Nicole Richie is yet to issue a reaction statement. However, she is said to be grieving.
Further to the statements above, Samantha Ronson changed her Twitter icon to one of her and DJ AM, Mark Ronson TwitPicd an image of himself and DJ AM.
In addition, Los Angeles club The Viper Room (formerly owned by Johnny Depp) posted a memorial on their marquee, and the Palms Casino Resort lit only the letters A and M in their name on the side of their building as a tribute. All of these images are in the gallery below.
