No charges are to be filed against Shawne Merriman in the case that saw him accused of assaulting reality star, Tila Tequila real name Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen.
The District Attorney’s Office of San Diego will not be pressing charges against Merriman, the lack of charges being due to insufficient evidence of a crime taking place, according to TMZ.com. This is despite Tequila’s allegations of assault and false-imprisonment and the photos that have surfaced showing what may be bruising along both arms. These images can be seen in the gallery below.
This girl’s credibility must be all shot to heck. Despite the releasing of several of these images to the press the comments on many websites, including TMZ, still show that many people think she is lying. Some are even accusing her of drawing on bruising using face makeup. I have to say I have no clue at this point what happened, nor do I want to take the rather dangerous and unethical stance of blaming someone who may have been the victim of a serious assault.
For the moment, I shall just report facts as I see them. Tequila met with with the D.A. on September 11 to discuss the case. On the way to the meeting she was spotted in her car, she was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt with dark marking on her arms. This initially got people in a spin as she said she was choked but there was only faint “bruising” on her arms a week later. However, photos of the bruises were sold by her to a media outlet 1, 2, and 3 showing marks on her neck. Whatever.
Tequila has been Twittering as though her life depended on it over the last few days. She has tweeted about the following; Merriman’s alleged continued steroid abuse; how a real man can apologise and a real woman can forgive; and how she is now a single girl and giving out her phone number trying to find a new match.
