Teresa Giudice covers the latest issue of InTouch magazine. Those who’ve been keeping tally will remember that the Real Housewives of New Jersey reality star, who incidentally is trying to double her pay by threatening to walk days before season three shooting starts, at one point had her home and all her belongings on the market. She has flat denied both of these occurrences on the show. What is certain is that she and her husband are bankrupt. She tries to explain what in the heck she did with $11 million, short of setting it alight for fun, Joker-style.
- On why, in effect, her husband hid their financial troubles: “Joe thought things were going to get better,” she explains.
- On how she feels now living on a budget and having her husband watch her spending: “I want to save more.”
- On how her daughters used to always have brand new clothes, but now wear each other’s hand-me-downs: “Me and my husband have learned a lot from our mistakes.”
- On how, as heartbreaking as it is, bankruptcy does have a silver lining: “It’s brought us closer together.”

Let me first say that she’s still my favorite from Jersey.
Now, having said that: they were dumb as hell! You can’t spend like Oprah when you only have Public Access Cable Show money.

I don’t buy Teresa’s explanation about their debt. She said their house was never in foreclosure because Chez Tacky was just an investment, not their house.
First, no one blows $60,000 on curtains for an investment. Second, everybody buys houses as an investment. Yes, even peasants like me, bought the home to live in and it’s an investment.
I also don’t believe the lame story about Joe’s accident. I bet there are witnesses to his drinking in the restaurant. They are probably afraid to come forward because of Teresa’s temper.
