The latest reports about Britney Spears’ conservatorship sound made-up, honestly. And the source is questionable. However, on the off-chance it means an un-medicated Tinkle Feet v1.0 will be barefoot at her wedding, I’m paying it lip service. Sources tell the UK’s Sunday Express, which is the most random-a$$ paper to whom this information should be fed if legit, Jamie Spears will consider rushing the termination of the conservatorship before Valentine’s Day since that’s suddenly the wedding date and not Summer or in years time, so said sources upon the engagement: ‘Jamie wants to go to court in early February so Britney will be a free woman in every sense when she marries.’ MEH, we’ll see.

Mouthbreather Jason Alexander is still trying to rain on his ex-wife’s parade. Britney Spears married Alexander for 55-hours back in 2004. And dude’s read every Google Alert on Spears’ name since then. Since he knows EVERYTHING. Except he doesn’t, as they no longer speak, and this is the supposition of mutual friends. Alexander was asked about the engagement by Star Magazine and he threw Spears under the bus: ‘[The relationship is] a complete sham [and Jason Trawick] will end up hurting [her]. If they actually get married, it will probably only last for a year two, but not much longer than that. I think Britney is really unhappy but doesn’t know how to get out I don’t think she loves [her fiance]. [Mutual friends say Britney] has has no choice but to listen to what her dad and [fiance] say. I want her to know that she can get out… if she really wants to.’

Britney Spears had her engagement party this weekend since there’s nothing better than burying an engagement on a Friday and releasing  the photos the last Saturday before the holidays. But here we are. Spears is wearing a nude Herve Leger dress that almost fits and there are no holes in it, she looks sweet and happy, and she looks like she smeared her make-up during a nap about 10-minutes before any of these photos were taken. Here’s the singer, 30, with fiance Jason Trawick, 40, at his birthday party/ their engagement party to which they sold the photo rights (RadarOnline.com reported the photos would be sold to People, maybe not). She’s wearing her 3/4-carat Neil Lane round diamond engagement ring on a pave diamond band. Spears tweeted after the party: ‘Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such an amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family.’ Photos and video below.

There are some loose ends in the Britney Spears proposal story that are best served with a separate update. Jason Trawick told Access Hollywood Friday, ’Yes, we are engaged… [and] over the moon.’ Us Weekly sources say: ‘This is something they’ve both wanted for a long time. It’s a way to cement their family. They’re both extremely happy and can’t wait to become man and wife.’ RadarOnline.com add: ‘the [engagement] ring will be classy and under 4-carats.’ Adding ‘the simple, elegant’ ring is a ‘Neil Lane, over three carats, a platinum and diamond band, with a large classic round diamond.’ So, it’s nicer than the gumball ring she bought herself for her second marriage to Kevin Federline. Moreover, it looks like Trawick picked and paid for the ring. The couple will travel from Los Angeles, where Trawick proposed one day early during his birthday, to Las Vegas where they’ll celebrate and show the ring to family.
