Taylor Momsen Trying Too Hard in New Video

Taylor Momsen Miss Nothing music video depicting DaVinci’s The Last Supper.

Taylor Momsen hasn’t been having an easy time of it, in the media. The 16-year-old, who turns 17 on July 26, has been under scruitiny over her hyper-sexual image and behaviour that includes walking around pantless, wearing just lingerie and having her tampon string hanging out, wearing stripper heels, and talking about her frequent use of a certain sex toy. Frankly, a lot of this serves her right. To some extent. She’s 16, but she’s still old enough to know that acting like a gutter snipe means she’s going to be treated like a gutter snipe.

At this point, it would probably behoove her to put on some pants and give it a rest for a while. No such luck. The actress-turned-singer is actually cranking it up another notch. Above is her music video for Miss Nothing, the new video from her band, The Pretty Reckless. It’s drenched in more blasphemous iconography than the bastard child of Lady Gaga’s Alejandro and Madonna’s Like a Prayer videos. Well, it’s like the ADHD-riddled bastard child of the two that really needs to up its meds. Check out the video’s depiction of Leonardo DaVinci’s painting The Last Supper. Then, for the sake of our souls, Jesus can take the wheel.

Pink’s Fall During Concert Caught on Video

Pink performed a concert in Nurnberg, Germany today in front of a bazillion people with camera phones. Those in attendance were probably content to just film the singer… singing… but instead they caught footage of the musician in a horrific accident where she fell eight feet in an acrobatic stunt gone wrong. Pink, real name Alecia Moore, fell out of her harness while performing on Thursday night. Watching the video below, from about 35-seconds in, shows the accident. The strings that were attached to Pink’s harness were not secured properly. From the video it looks like the dancers were the ones doing the attaching, and when Pink well from the stage, nearly eight feet down to the arena floor, some of those same dancers fell too. But no one seems to care about them, so let’s forget about that. The singer hurt her legs, but got back onstage to apologise to the crowd. Badass. She was then rushed to a local hospital in an ambulance.

Prince’s Internet Nemesis Leaks His New Album

I’m not quite sure how to write this post, as the premise itself means two things 1) Prince MAY have been wrong about the Internet being ‘over’ 2) The Internet may be full of MP3-leaking trolls who live only to make Prince’s life miserable. After its release for nothing more than the price of a newspaper, as a free gift in a very low-brow rag that is barely worthy of being back-up toilet paper, 20TEN has leaked. The CD, 20TEN, was released in the UK’s Daily Mirror and Daily Record for no additional charge. It’s been 72-hours and the whole album-worth of MP3s has leaked online. According to an ONTD commenter, the file is at the link they provided (I haven’t checked the link they left though). Did you hear the album? I was too lazy to get my ass outta bed to buy it. I’m glad of that now.

Prince Has Decided That the Internet is Over

Prince has given one of the most idiotic quotes I’ve ever read. It’s as stupid as a dozen Megan Fox quotes stuck together. In his words, which were repeated for the amusement of Boing Boing, Prince claims that the whole of the silly Internets are going to go KABOOM… and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. It should be noted that the quotes are from The Mirror, but they’re good enough for Boing Boing so I’m going to take them at face value for now. To summarise, Prince says he hates the evil Internets and is going to kill the whole thing with fire.

[Prince] explains that he decided [his new] album will be released in CD format only in the Mirror. There’ll be no downloads anywhere in the world because of his ongoing battles against internet abuses. Unlike most other rock stars, he has banned YouTube and iTunes from using any of his music and has even closed down his own official website. He says “The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it. The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.” [Boing Boing, The Mirror]

For those in the UK, Prince’s new album 20TEN will be free only in Saturday July 10, 2010′s Daily Mirror. It’ll be leaked online just hours later for sure though. Ha.

Will.i.am Comments on Fergie Leaving Rumours

Will.i.am, rapper and main producer of the Black Eyed Peas, has taken to his Twitter to clarify some rumours spread at the end of last week. On Friday, it was alleged that lead singer Fergie was considering leaving the Grammy-winning group. Radar Online reported as fact, without any proof, as they often do, that Fergie was considering leaving the band. All they had was the word of some nonsense ‘source’. As they put it, she was on the verge of leaving the group because she can’t stand the tension in the band, has a rocky relationship with Will.i.am, and she wants to have a baby. 90% of the stuff I’ve ever read on Radar is total bull, so I don’t believe much they post at this point (other than the demonstrably true ‘exclusives’ that are posted on TMZ hours before). I don’t believe this either. Will.i.am. said on his Twitter that the group are not parting.

Dirty Money Ft. Nicki Minaj Hello Good Morning

Dirty Money Ft. Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross Hello Good Morning remix VEVO video.

Rappers Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross, the guy who appears at the beginning in a cloud of smoke like some kind of rapping magician, are the featured vocalists in the Dirty Money Hello Good Morning remix music video. The video was released to VEVO.com a little while ago, and from about 1:30 in shows Minaj, real name Onika Tanya Maraj, wearing a blue wig and doing her best epileptic Lil’ Kim impression. I’m kidding, of course. She looks hawt and flutters her eyelashes in time with the music. It’s the single most impressive thing I’ve ever seen.
