Whitney Houston I Look To You Album Streamed

whitney-houston-album-cover-photo

Whitney Houston is about to make her umpteenth comeback. From the chatter, I gather that her more old-school fans are excited, but many others are not. I for one liked Million Dollar Bill. The song, which hit radio on August 17, is a throwback to disco, written by Alicia Keys and produced by Swizz Beatz. Guessing it’ll set the tone for the rest of the upcoming album, I Look To You.

Speaking of which, QVC is currently streaming the entire I Look To You album by Whitney Houston on their website, for those who would like to listen innocently and not rip the entire thing and leak it onto YouTube. Who loves you?

Janet Jackson New Look for her 2010 Album

janet-jackson-new-look-for-her-new-album-1

Janet Jackson has revealed the new look to her upcoming album, due out 2010. I am at odds with this promotional photo. I want to like it, I really do, but I don’t know what on earth I’m looking at. [EDIT: PITNB states this promo pic isn’t a real promo pic at all… it’s a mash-up Photoshop creation that was fanmade.]

The album will be full of great pop hits that I’ll want to sing along to. But, really, is this going to be as ground-breaking as it needs to be in order to make a dent in the charts. I wish artists would really think and not release albums for album’s sake. Here’s hoping this is more than a one single wonder.

As well as the album, there is more work from Jackson in the pipeline.

Later this year, Janet will publish her first book, providing an intimate look at her life and how she has dealt with issues of self-esteem.

Janet will reveal aspects not known before about her uniquely successful career not only in music but in television and motion pictures. The next months and new year will also bring another film starring Janet as she joins Tyler Perry in his sequel, Why Did I Get Married Too, followed by a new album slated to released during the first quarter of 2010. Katharine McPhee Blonde for Album Art

katharine-mcphee-blonde-pictures-1

Katharine McPhee dyed her hair blonde, gearing up to promote her new album.

McPhee was best known for her flowing brown locks, but took the Lohan road to redemption and went to the blonde side. I hope ruining her perfectly good colour was worth it for these three promo shots that literally make her unrecognisable… which is really great when your face is your fortune, by the way.

The upcoming sophomore album, Unbroken is due out October 6, 2009.

Kelly Clarkson Fought Already Gone Release

Kelly Clarkson Already Gone official music video has been released.

Kelly Clarkson has been bellyaching to the media about how she is not to blame for the backing track to her new single Already Gone (above), being the same as the one to Halo by Beyonce (below).

Clarkson tried to stop the single’s release after learning about the issue but she failed. Rather than doing as most artists would and let it slide under the radar of the media the singer chose to publicly throw the song’s producer under the bus. Ryan Tedder, the producer who also happens to be the front-man for band OneRepublic, allegedly gave the same beat to Beyonce without letting anyone know.

“No one’s gonna be sittin’ at home, thinking ‘Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyoncé and Kelly the same track to write to.’  No, they’re just gonna be saying I ripped someone off…I fought and fought”.

“In the end, they’re releasing it without my consent.  It sucks, but it’s one of those things I have no control over. I already made my album. At this point, the record company can do whatever they want with it. It’s kind of a sh- – -y situation, but . . . you know, you learn.” (via Showbiz Spy)

You can check out the songs for yourself and see what the fuss is about.

Created with the same backing track is Halo by Beyonce.

Kelly Clarkson Already Gone Cover & Promos

Kelly Clarkson has released the official artwork for her new single, Already Gone.

The singer, whom I fell in love with when she talked sh*t about Perez Hilton’s assault, can be seen in extreme close-up with her Amy Wino-licensed eye-make up. As I love her so, I’ll lay off the Jelly Clarkson jokes, but wtf at the art people only using her face and only half her damn face at that.

The cover and some promotional stills for the video are below.
