Rihanna American Music Awards Performance

Rihanna American Music Awards AMA 2009 performing Wait Your Turn and Hard.

Rihanna arrived on the red carpet for the AMAs 2009 looking a hot mess. The singer wore a black and white cardboard-looking cut out number, which looked the cheapest since that nasty Glamour Women of the Year tissue paper dress. The singer’s stage outfit was no better, as it looked like a bunch of pop socks.

Janet Jackson Medley @ American Music Awards

Janet Jackson Number Ones Medley American Music Awards 2009 performance.

Janet Jackson appeared at the American Music Awards and performed a medley of popular hits. The songs she sang at the AMAs included  her number one tracks Control, Miss You Much, What Have You Done For Me Lately, If, and she ended with Together Again. Jackson was met with rapturous applause and a standing ovation, and not just because she made frenzied grabs for her crotch on stage.

Oasis To Record Under New Name Without Noel

Gallagher-Brothers-of-Oasis-Photo

This is the second most heartbreaking news I’ve heard, after I found out that Santa Claus wasn’t real (last week). Liam Gallagher has confirmed to MTV Italy that brother and band-mate Noel Gallagher’s decision to leave in August, after bitter feuding, is permanent. As such, the band is looking for someone who will inevitably be 10% as talented to replace him. The remaining members have formed a new group and are recording together under a new name.

Beyonce and Lady GaGa Video Phone Premiere

Beyonce Video Phone premiere featuring Lady GaGa in the extended remix video.

Beyonce, Lady GaGa Video Phone has premiered in full.

The Hype Williams-directed music video, which pairs together Beyonce with Lady GaGa for the already fabulous track Video Phone, was set to premiere Nov. 17  at 12:01 AM EST. This is after an initial delay earlier in the month.

The track was already smoking hot and was one of my favourites when I was getting my ghetto bootleg on, at the release of I Am… Sasha Fierce. It was a standout track and the addition of the overexposed, but talented Lady GaGa only adds to its fabulous-ness. So much so that it’s necessary to make up a word or two to pump up the hype. Writing in nonsensical sentences more than usual aside, this is hot off the press and the world premiere.

As with the Britney Spears 3 video, which was published less than an hour after its release, you guys will be some of the first to watch this. Its early premiere online precedes a release across 60 channels on MTV networks in the US. This morning the stills and the preview were released and the full video is above.

Click and enjoy as these two divas rock your world together on Video Phone. The extended remix single with Lady GaGa is available on the I Am Sasha Fierce Deluxe Edition, set for release Monday November 23, 2009.

Shakira Lil’ Wayne Give It Up To Me Music Video

Shakira debuts her Give It Up To Me music video which also features Lil’ Wayne.

Shakira‘s Give It Up To Me video featuring Lil’ Wayne.

At the start of the clip above Shakira manages to sit in one spot, without spontaneously bending, shaking or humping any of the surrounding sound equipment. Actually, that’s all a little off-putting. At this point, her bending and humping is as standard. So, it’s rather upsetting watching the clip until 5:30mins in, when the music starts. Then it’s contortion and stretchy outfits a go-go.
