Because Mariah Carey is a ridiculous human being who’d risk putting her babies in danger so she could have doctors adjust the room’s lighting rather than tend to her directly, Nick Cannon acted as the day’s ‘production manager’ at the birth of their twins. Cannon filmed the labour (presumably cutting around the part where Carey pooped herself repeatedly) and controlled the music as doctors adjusted the lighting. Also, Cannon says Carey wanted her 1995 song Fantasy to be played and the babies born to a round of applause. Cannon admitted this on The Talk, saying, ‘It was definitely over the top. I was the production manager of the whole production. I was the DJ. I had the camera on one hand. The lighting had to be perfect. My wife was like, ‘if you’ve got a camera, you make sure the lighting is right.’ The doctors were adjusting the lights. But it was amazing because she wanted a certain song to be playing when the babies came out. She wanted Fantasy, from her live performance from Madison Square Gardens so they could come out to a round of applause. It was a production, holding the camera, hitting record.’ Right after the birth, on their anniversary, the couple renewed their vows. ‘That’s how much of a diva my wife is: not only did she give birth to twins, hours later she was in a gown, in hair and make up.’ And the couple is already projecting personalities on their four-month-olds. ‘My daughter is a diva. My son is laid back. When he wakes up, he wakes up smiling. He’ll wait for a minute and if he’s hungry, he’ll let you know. My daughter is just instant, she goes in and will not stop crying til you give her what she wants. It’s like sleep and then screaming. Mariah Carey’s breasts were full of nothing but the tears of orphan children and were less than 50% beer at the time her twins were beginning to breastfeed. It had been reported that some busybody overheard a nurse’s advice about how drinking a certain alcoholic beverage could ease breastfeeding. Which Carey did at that nurse’s behest. Worrying that naming her babies Moroccan and Monroe would be the least of the child abuse, that eavesdropper reported the matter to the Department of Children and Family Services. Only on May 26 did the investigation continue to the family home, where I guess officials made sure only liquid gold was in the baby bottles and nothing with alcohol. I guess the gold was 24 carat as the investigation’s already over. TMZ.com reports that, after a formal interview about drunk babies, it was found the kids were safe and healthy. As though anyone expected less, based on a tip from an anonymous source who probably worked at the hospital and was probably drinking on the job as well.
