Before her mother co-signed on the precursor to a career in adult movies, Lindsay Lohan had scruples and denounced nudity as a way to bolster one’s career. There’s an old interview from 2005 that’s reared its ugly head, when she was 19-years-old and promoting Herbie Fully Loaded. In it the actress, when she was still an actress not a glorified escort and adult model, said she’d NEVER go nude because it’s desperate, tacky, and indicative of the state of an actress’ career. Moreover, she opined, there were more fruitful and classy ways to show your talents. Bear in mind, her first crotch shots weren’t too long after what now reads as sanctimony: ‘You’ll never see me in a nude scene. I think there’s a way to for those kinds of things to be tastefully done and you don’t need to show that, and I don’t think that’s what is needed to win someone an Oscar. For me… I think there are other things you can do to show people that you have talent.’
Specifically, in the 2005 interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, Lohan denounced movie nudity. It was six years before she begged for the role of lead cumbucket in Inferno… and got demoted to a bit-part with nudity in Gotti.
