Katy Perry can, according to my picture agency, be seen here as she splashes in a fountain on the set of a new music video. The singer is in downtown Los Angeles, California, filming outdoors the music video for Starstrukk; a duet with Perry and controversial duo 3OH!3, as taken from the deluxe version of band’s debut album, Want.

Looking through the stills from the video, I was left scratching my head, and not just cos my 10-year-old lace front was starting to itch like a mo-fo.

Most of the photos of Perry on the set of the video involved not only her bouncing around in a fountain, but either her or some member of the production staff grabbing her boobs. I don’t even necessarily mean like the very top picture, where it just looks like the guy is copping a feel. I mean like a sudden and very concerned looking grab, almost as if they think her breasticles are about to fall off or something.

Katy Perry, best known for her fauxmosexual anthem I Kissed a Girl, is suing a fashion designer with a very similar name.

The 24-year-old is trippin’, as most of her fans know that “Perry” is not strictly her actual name. When she became a star, she reverted from her given name of “Hudson” to her mother’s maiden name, in order to avoid being mistaken for a certain well known actress (Kate Hudson).

Despite the names not even being spelt the same, Perry is throwing her weight around and demanding that designer “Katie Perry” remove her title from her clothing line. The poor mite was served with a cease and desist letter, which in entertainment news circles is known as emergency potty roll as that is all it is good for.

“I got such a huge shock. It really felt like I was being intimidated and bullied into signing everything away,” says Katie, who launched her own loungewear line in Australia two years ago.

“(The letter) asked me to give up the trademark, withdraw sale of my clothes, withdraw any advertising and any websites, and sign that I will not in the future use a similar trademark to Katy Perry. I pretty much burst into tears,” she explains.

“I love my business. I’m not going to give it away without a fight either. I’m not trying to become a singer. I’m not pretending to be her. This is my income. And it’s the livelihood of my contractors as well.” (via Pop Crunch)

Katy Perry has given some new details on her plans for her new clothing line.

There are not a heck of a lot of details available on the line yet, but if the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer’s recent stage costumes and personal style are anything to go by it’s are going to be a real sight!

Perry, 24, is adamant that she’ll take her time on the project, as it will likely take years for her to complete.

According to Showbiz Spy she says, “It’s been an ambition for some time and things are starting to shape up for me right now. It would take two years to do it right. I don’t want to do something rushed and sloppy. I look at something like Gwen Stefani’s line, L.A.M.B., and that took forever to do.”

I’m kind of too scared to say this, in case she starts Facebook stalking me or sommat, but Lily Allen has struck another online blow at Katy Perry - saying that she has Perry’s phone number and may publish it online [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Allen is one of my favourite musicians of the moment, as she is one of only a small handful of pop strumpets that can actually sing. However, talent or no, this is some of the most retarded behaviour I have seen in a long while. Who in their right mind, over the age of about 12, makes threats to expose people using social media? This is the kind of crap I would expect to see on BH 90210 v2.0, not from a grown woman!

As you may remember, the pair of singing boobs have been proverbially poking each other in the eye, since late last year, when Perry jokingly said that she is a “skinny version” of Lily. The British songstress hit straight back, saying Perry had ripped off of her style, doesn’t write her own songs and that she’s “crass”. 

She’s not far wrong there. Perry is singing pair of double-D’s who until recently had a matching D-List boyfriend. The only thing that makes her vaguely interesting is her dress sense and she only plays that for sh*ts and giggles. I guess someone once told her dressing as a watermelon was a suitable substitute for a personality?

Allen clearly didn’t get a sense of humour for Christmas, as she is REFUSING to let the feud die. She says that she has Perry’s number and that she is itching like Parasite Hilton’s panty puddin’ filled crotch to use it…

“I have Katy Perry’s number, someone did me a favour,” she wrote, according to Britain’s Sun.co.uk.

“I’m just waiting for her to open her mouth one more time then it hits Facebook.”

My beloved watermelon opens up about growing up with God, battling booze, dating a thug and those biatches from MTV’s The Hills.

Here is what she had to say:

Growing up in her parent’s Evangelical ministry, she says: “It was kind of an island. We spoke in tongues. We knew there was this one way, and all the other ways were wrong.” In Katy’s house, deviled eggs were called angeled eggs. “I didn’t know enough to ask my mom, ‘How come we call them that? Everybody else calls them something else.’” She’s protective of her parents beliefs, even if she doesn’t share them anymore: “They found God at a time when they really needed to, and I believe in the God they found. My dad would have died from one tab of Strawberry Fields (LSD) too many if he hadn’t found God.” Despite any religious conflicts, she’s part of the family tree. “I’m still in the will,” she explains. “It’s just that I have more money than them now.”

Breaking In: “The first time I got signed, they brought me in a room with three other girls they signed at the same time. They sat us down and said, ‘Maybe one of you will ever make a record. The other three can go back to Middle America and pop out babies.’” Despite her long wait, she didn’t quit: “What else was I gonna do? I’d just turn into a depressed, pill-popping disaster of a housewife.” She decided to stick it out until she turned 25, but it only took until she was 23. “It was really difficult, drinking became a problem. It got out of control until I said, OK – back to work. I know I’m speaking for someone, even if it is someone silly.”

Thug Life: Of her boyfriend, Gym Class Heroes front man Travis McCoy: “He’s thug-nificent,” Katy says. “I can’t believe I got a thug to commit!” “We weren’t really together, it was casual. But soulless hooking up didn’t seem so hot to me. I always wanted to have a romance. I said “Excuse me, I’ve been coming to a number of your shows in the greater Los Angeles area for quite some time now. I’ve been your Penny Lane long enough, and now I want to be your Grace Kelly.”

She’s from Santa Barbara, not The Hills: Katy’s thrift-store bombshell style is a big part of her appeal — this is definitely one pop star you wouldn’t get confused with the girls from The Hills. “Hellz to the f— no! There’s no comparison. No offense, but those ladies are a totally different breed. A cheeseburger’s fine if you’re just looking for something quick to fill you up, but there’s no substitute for the filet!”

I like Perry, but her watermelon-outfit-wearing arse and her faux-lesbian ravings are not powerful enough to cross the Atlantic ocean*.

As such, the hype largely washed right over me and from what I gather, I am one of about two people in the Western Hemisphere who do not feel the need to embark on a murderous rampage upon hearing someone say they ‘Kissed A Girl’!
