There are several reports floating around about the extent of the gold digging done by Crystal Harris before she left Hugh Hefner the day of her single’s release on iTunes and the day before her July Playboy cover release. Pretty much, people seem convinced of two things; that Harris just wanted exposure for her music career, and that she may have cheated with someone, possibly Dr. Phil’s son, Jordan McGraw (her songwriting partner) about whom rumours of an affair surfaced back in March. To his credit, Hefner cleared up some rumours on his Twitter. ‘The TMZ report that Crystal & I ‘had a nasty argument,’ prompting her to call off the wedding, is untrue,’ wrote the 85-year-old. ‘There were no arguments.’ People don’t usually just randomly break-up, but Harris does deny that anything took place with her and McGraw. According to Lies&Style, who, like a broken clock, is right twice-a-day, ‘[McGraw was seen] kissing [Harris'] shoulder and trying to hold her hand… at the Chateau Marmont in LA on March 14.’ Responding to rumours of cheating, her manager Michael Blakely said, ‘That is absolutely not true. It’s a complete fabrication.’ It’s also being reported in Page Six that Harris was trying to stage some kind of jilting at the altar that she could sell in an interview to a magazine. She reportedly wanted $500,000 to talk about her reasons for the planned dramatic exit, but she reportedly had no takers for her desired amount. ‘Harris, 25, was shopping for a big-bucks deal to tell all after she ditched hapless Hef, 85, in front of 300 guests at their wedding at the Playboy Mansion on Saturday, to be filmed for a Lifetime TV special,’ writes Page Six. ‘Her plan was to walk up the aisle and say she couldn’t go through with it. The wedding was to be filmed for a reality special, and her refusal to marry him would be a sensation. She was looking for a tie-in deal of around $500,000 for the exclusive ‘I ditched Hef at the altar’ interview. While there was interest, Crystal didn’t get an offer anywhere near half a million.’ Her manager gave an oddly-worded denial of that story, ‘Not true, to my knowledge… I have no idea what happened. All I know is that it was an amicable breakup.’
