Paparazzi Sue Over Bachelor Wedding Assault

The two photographers who were smacked down at The Bachelor wedding, like they were part of some delightful open-air WWF match, are suing. It was pretty obvious that the roughing up the two photographers got, as seen in the photos and video, was pretty damn bad. They were on a public path, filming the wedding between The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney. The wedding security stormed over and wrestled the pair to the ground. Eric Brogmus and Maximiliano Lopes are claiming battery, false imprisonment, and negligence.

Disney/ABC Television Group, Next Entertainment, and the security company are said to have “breached their duty of reasonable conduct by attacking and detaining or authorizing the attack and detention” of both of the plaintiffs.

The only pictures most people have seen so far of the wedding between The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney are grainy photos shot from yards away, and pictures of over-zealous security wrestling paparazzi to the ground for trying to get pics. It’s almost weird to look at the above, the cover of OK! magazine, and see the two together in sharp focus. I almost don’t know whether I like photos shot where the subjects know they’re on camera. Also, I think the set of pictures of the paparazzi being wrestled to the ground are way more interesting. Should you like boring, posed photos of happy couples check out the pair on the cover of the latest issue. Photographers Arrested at Bachelor Wedding

It’s not a real wedding, unless someone is being wrestled to the ground. Two photographers were arrested on Saturday February 27, 2010, as they tried to snap pictures of the nuptials between The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney. The wedding fakery was purdy, but washed out by the rain. However, rain never stopped a pap. Each has a litter of at least a dozen kids to feed. Hence them hovering around like buzzards and getting themselves in trouble.

In lieu of a smackdown by the real popo, the fake-ass popo detained the paps until law enforcement arrived. The paps were accused of blocking access at a park, nearby. The over-zealous Mall Cops were accused by the media of taking dangerous measures to ensure the wedding the paps were taping on public property near the Tillanea resort in Palos Verdes, CA, was not documented.

A reality wedding event was marred by the show’s own security Saturday afternoon. One photographer was choked from behind while the other was abruptly pushed to the ground by three large security guards. Considering the circumstances of the day and the photographers legal rights, there was no evidence justifying the escalated altercation or the needless acts of violence toward the photographers on site. Hilary Duff Showing Off her Engagement Ring

Hilary Duff has been flashing her enormous engagement ring. The actress confirmed she was engaged to NHL star Mike Comrie, as of weekend-before-last.

She was photographed in Hawaii, where she became engaged. The couple are still on vacation. The 22-year-old looks only just sturdy enough to support that 4.5-carat Asscher-cut engagement ring estimated to be worth $300,000.

She’s only a tiny thing, with little arms and hands. She may do herself a mischief holding that ridiculous thing. She’d better give it over to me, so I can look after it. I’m super strong and I could do a better job of sporting it without falling over.

Hilary Duff Engaged to Hockey Star Mike Comrie

Hilary Duff is confirmed as engaged to Mike Comrie. I heard this a while ago, but the rep was yet to confirm and at this point publishing wedding bell rumours without rep confirmation is migraine-inducing. It’s not big/ clever/ or sessy. So I don’t really do it anymore, even in the interest of getting the scoop. Anyways, Duff is doing as Carrie Underwood and marrying a hockey player who’s a 4-5 at best. I love sympathy weddings. I can never figure out what the hotter person sees in the other. I guess he has a really big, um, personality or something.

Nicole Richie is still showing off her big ass engagement ring. This would be the ring which she debuted during her David Letterman taping, given to her by her smug boyfriend Joel Madden. The couple have been engaged for a while, and are not newly engaged as Madden was keen to point out on his Twitter.

This time she was not showing off for the sake of showing off. She was showing off for the sake of drawing attention to her new fashion collection. Joel Madden: We’ve Been Engaged For a While

Joel Madden is laughing in the faces of all of us who were drunkenly laying in the gutter, and were “late” picking up on his engagement news. In a rather smug, and uncharacteristically rude tweet the rocker let fans know that he and his fiance were not newly engaged. I guess he means lazy reporting and assumptions about them getting engaged on Valentine’s Day were wrong. He says in the message above that he semi-appreciates the hoopla, but he urgently needs to get off Twitter so he can extract his head from his butt. That tweet was from his Twitter, but later deleted. Hence the capture from his feed on Celebrity Tweet.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Getting Married

If you’re waking up this morning with a ringing in your ears that would be because the whole world yelled the word FINALLY at the top of their lungs, upon hearing this news. This shouldn’t be news, a mother and father of two babies yada yada, but it is. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are engaged to be married. And I don’t mean like Star magazine married. I mean like someone actually proposed to someone, and two people are actually going to walk down the aisle.

Sources are whispering things they like to whisper about the pair being engaged. However, this time we have something a little more concrete. Both Gossip Cop and The HuffPo state Richie confirmed the engagement to David Letterman during a taping of his show on Monday. I’ll add video when it’s released.

Together since 2006, they have two children; Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 5-months.

The first pics of the soon-to-be Mrs Madden, as she does Letterman on February 15, 2010 in NYC. She beamed as she’d spilled on the show that she’s engaged. Look closely at the images in the gallery, you can see her engagement ring.

Carrie Prejean Engaged to NFL Star Kyle Boller

Carrie Prejean made good on her word and got opposite engaged to her man-friend. The world can exhale and rest easy, as she will be embarking on a biblically-correct opposite marriage. Rumours abound, thanks to E! Online, that ex-Miss California Prejean has become engaged to pro-football quarterback Kyle Boller. According to reports (awaiting finite confirmation from either rep) the two became engaged on Saturday in Prejean’s hometown of San Diego.

The player for the (woeful) St. Louis Rams and his homophobic beau have been together since last July. They have survived her multiple, nasty, lurid scandals including the ones with her solo-sex tape, nude photos, and nip slips (the most NSFW nip slips are prolly at 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). Congrats to the couple, I guess.

Katie Price and Alex Reid Shot this Pre-Wedding

Katie Price and Alex Reid look like brunette Barbie and Ken dolls, as they pose for the UK edition of OK! The new issue takes the uninspiring route of pimping out the big-bundle-of-disrespect that is this couple’s wedding. The pair snuck off to Vegas on Monday, and married on Tuesday. They left the kids (Price’s own and now Reid’s step-children), with a nanny. Price has never been the kind of woman to give a damn, and she openly says in her (revolting) interview that she didn’t bother telling ex-husband Peter Andre about the wedding.

We already knew she didn’t tell him, as that was one of the reasons the poor thing broke down on live television during an interview with Sky News.

Katie Price [...] says she didn’t feel the need to tell ex-husband Peter Andre that she was planning to tie the knot: “It’s none of his business. Why would I tell him? I don’t have contact with him unless it’s about the kids.” The happy couple can’t wait to get started on having kids together, saying they want to add at least another two to their brood. When we asked them how many kids they want, Katie asked Alex: “How many do you want, Alex?” To which he replied: “Two or three.” Katie added: “I’ve always said I want a big family.” [OK Magazine]
