Beyonce has finally released the Run The World music video after more teaser videos than I could easily keep track of. The singer tried to use the Britney Spears/ Lady Gaga method of releasing a million previews before her official release. However, the clips I saw were of manic-depressive models walking around in black and white. Some didn’t feature Beyonce at all. I actually thought this video came out weeks ago because of how sloppily the promotion was handled. But it just came out today. The music video is below and I’m only part way through watching it. There’s a bunch of production from another song… and we all know how Beyonce likes to take credit for other musicians’ work. I’m waiting for her to claim she originally-produced this whole thing. The song she ‘borrowed’ from this time is Major Lazer’s Pon De Floor which is also below.

Preview Of Beyonce’s Three W Magazine Covers
Beyonce covers an upcoming issue of W. I don’t think the month is confirmed, but it’s speculated she’ll have three covers for the American edition of W this Summer. The covers are pretty, if dark and not season-appropriate. They’re like really nice late Fall covers and not something for June/July. Beyonce was recently photographed shooting something for Harper’s Bazaar in Paris as she begins promotion for her forthcoming album. I guess this will mark the beginning of her promotional tour. I really hope she moves on from the monstrosities that were B-Day and I Am Sasha Fierce; the former had embarrassingly poor music videos (Freakum’ Dress? Get Me Bodied??) and the latter only had one video really… three women dancing around each other while in black and white. She needs to release better songs and not sleepwalk through the videos this album. And subsequent singles need not be sub-Willow Smith like Who Run The World.
Beyonce Blackface L’Officiel Magazine Pictures
Beyonce is Black, okay? At the very least, broadly, racially speaking. That said and agreed upon, even if you decide it’s more fun licking the fluff off the long lost Twizzler in your pocket (mmm, pocket fluff) than picking apart her exact ethnic/racial background, you’re still left with the slightly perplexing picture above. A picture that seems to suggest we need reminding of what Beyonce looks like in the botched ‘before’ pictures where L’Oreal gets a little too wild in MS Paint with its image contrast. Beyonce, looking beautiful I might add, poses and looks appropriately regal and elegant in a photo shoot in which she wears blackface make-up for the L’Officiel Paris 90th anniversary March 2011 cover. She looks normal on what scans like a Harper’s Bazaar cover from 2007, but inside she’s dressed-up and made-up in homage to Nigerian musician Fela Kuti.

Beyonce Heat Advert Banned from Daytime TV
Beyonce’s commercial for Heat is shown below, because that’s where all smut is relegated to when it becomes banned. After a whopping… wait for it… 14 people in the UK complained about the Heat advert, for Beyonce’s perfume, it has been banned from airing on British daytime television. The commercial shows Beyonce writhing around in an advert that did make me slightly uncomfortable. If only because her breasts were barely covered and I spent the whole minute playing Spot The Nipple Slip. Given that other people don’t like to play fast and loose with their soft-core porn, it has been decided that the spot won’t air before 7:30 p.m. anymore, so as not to further offend those who complained to the Advertising Standards Authority. Manufacturers of the perfume claimed the commercial was in tune with Beyonce’s ‘sexy chic’ imagery and not in any way indecent. It argued that the imagery was less overtly sexual than what is routinely seen in music videos. They have a point. The ASA accepted the advert was not obscene or offensive but was unhappy that it had been shown on daytime TV. It said, ‘Several complainants had told us their children had seen the ad broadcast during the middle of the day around family programmes.’ See below.
Tina Knowles Not Expecting Grandchild #3,193
Tina Knowles, mother of singer Beyonce Knowles, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
On Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tina Knowles addressed the latest rumours that her eldest daughter, Beyonce, was pregnant. Those rumours, the latest of many, that I ignored as just skim-reading them left me with a migraine, started early this week. They claimed the singer was expecting and many jumped the shark and published what they claimed were bump pictures; the same people publishing pictures of ’18 weeks pregnant’ Rachel Zoe and her ‘baby bump’ ignoring that she denies all rumours of being pregnant. When asked whether she was about to become a grandmother, again, mother Knowles told the television host ‘I heard that, but I’m hear to clear the rumors up. The truth is that it’s not Beyonce that’s pregnant… it’s me,’ she joked. ‘No, it’s not true,’ she continued. ‘With all the rumors, by now I should have 5 or 6 grandchildren.’
Beyonce’s Hip Photoshopped for Self Magazine
Beyonce is the cover girl for the September 2010 issue of Self magazine. She’s wearing a coral pink bandage dress and not her jammies (unike everyone else who does Self covers). Her lack of jammies wasn’t the thing that caught my eye.
I was entirely too focussed on part of her hips going missing to pay attention to her vomit-colour Herve Leger. The right side of the cover is all well and good. However, the left side of the cover shows her hip bone shaved right down, leaving her looking lopsided. Beyonce without hips is like Britney Spears with a clean weave. THIS MADNESS SHALL NOT PASS. Not on my watch. There’s a second, close up, picture from the Shape spread, as well as interview snippets.
