Paula Abdul claims that she has been a heavy influence on pop stars like Beyonce and Rihanna [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
The American Idol judge, 46, says that modern-day pop tarts have stolen her crown. She also thinks her turdy 80’s hits are a big part of the reason for their success:
“My videos stand the test of time. They are like the almanac for every performer. Even Rhianna has come up to me and said ‘I hope you don’t mind.’ And Beyonce. You can see the influence of what I’ve done.”
“It’s really fun to see that I’ve left a mark. It was my idea to create an animated character. It takes a lot of focus, a lot time, and a lot of money.”

Um, yeah Paula is part of music history and all, but last time I checked rihanna and Beyonce…or anyone for that matter haven’t used an animated character…lol I don’t hear her influence in them, either, if anyone should be able to say it they would be Prince, Michael and Janet Jackson, Madonna, you know the ones that people know before you can even say their name…lol
GAWD… you have a point I would have fallen down dead LOLing if she’d taken credit for any of the above.
