Shia LaBeouf handed in the receipts on himself after reports that he was difficult to work with on the set of Lawless. Speaking about how he was belligerent towards co-star Mia Wasikowska, LaBeouf told the New York Daily News last year: ‘She [Wasikowska] was calling her attorney, like, ‘Get me the f*** out of here.’ Mia was ready to walk away from the movie. I was really pretty aggressive about it, and not in any kind of weird, strange way, but I don’t think she had ever experienced anything like that.’ Wasikowska recently handed in her own receipts stained with blood, sweat, and tears after working with LaBeouf. Asked whether the drunkard scared her on set, she confirmed it’s all true: ‘It was all true, absolutely, yep.’ Although, LaBeouf says he drank for his method on Lawless just like he did a bunch of acid for his method on Nymphomaniac. ’I did it for the movie,’ he explained. ‘I didn’t drink off set for no reason. I did it because, when I showed up on set the next day, my f**king eyes looked like this and my face… had that drunk bloat that I needed, that I couldn’t have if that wasn’t going on. Moonshine is different than liquor. Moonshine is closer to heroin.’
