Shia LaBeouf has been told that he will not get back the full use of his injured left hand. The ‘Transformers’ star spoke with Entertainment Weekly and revealed that, at best, he expects to regain about 80% usability of the damaged mitt.
LaBeouf, who reunites with Megan Fox in the ‘Transformers’ sequel ‘Revenge of the Fallen’ on 24 June 2009, says that he has no bone left at all in one particular finger, on his bandaged hand, and has confirmed that the he will likely never have full use of the limb again.
“I’ve had screws and plates put in. They put a screw in one of my knuckles. And they shaved a piece of bone off my hip and made a [bone for my] finger out of it.” Shia says, speaking to ET.
“I’m on my third surgery. That’s coming up in a week or two [from April 2]. My middle finger is still crooked as a fucking noodle, so they’ve gotta straighten it out and put a screw in it.” He continues.
“It’s hard to do anything. It’s hard to button your pants or brush your teeth, let alone jump off a three-story building into a pad. This movie was the most physical thing I’ve ever had to do, and I had to do it with a broken hand.” He said.

He’s so young!!!! This is craziness.
Agreed. It’s sad he has a lasting injury that will impact him for ever
so…his hand. when he wants to have a special moment with himself, will it sorta be like numbing your hand by laying on your arm so it feels almost like someone else is doing it? cuz i gotta say, if that’s the case…it might not be so bad for him.
I tried to write this entire post, whilst sidestepping the ’self love’ issue. Seems I failed. Yay!
May not be so bad indeed Chris, but please, please do not go wrecking your own hand to achieve the same goal… doesn’t seem worth it.
