Sex and the City 2 Will Not Reflect Recession

sex-and-the-city-pictureSex and the City 2 will reportedly not reflect the current economic crisis – as apparently, over-sexed 40-somethings don’t feel the credit crunch. Despite their non-descript or non-existent jobs and living at the epicentre of the financial implosion, their threads and houses will absolutely not show any impact of the recession.

How these skanks and their sagging vaginas are going to escape the effects is something that is skimmed over – as the news comes from the show’s stylist who skipped that little plot hole.

Despite star Sarah Jessica Parker recently claiming she could see her character shunning expensive outfits to reflect the current economic climate, stylist Patricia Field insists she has no plans to dramatically alter the character’s wardrobes. She said: “I wouldn’t do it. Of course the four girls are going to be fabulous and flamboyant – otherwise what is the point? I want to do it the other way. I’d be like: ‘Forget your troubles.’” (via Breaking News)

  1. Mystery Man says:

i guess this makes sense. from what i know about the show, the clothes are a huge part of the draw, so if they put the downer of the recession in there, it would kill the mood or something like that. did that make any sense?

    1. Yeah, their tacky clothing should be recession free (their weaves should be recession free too). It’s in the theme of ths show, so it makes sense.

    “skanks and their sagging vaginas”

Would make for an interesting West End/Broadway show.

    1. If the vagina monologues can make it, that can too!
