As a follow up to the first and second batch of photos from the NYC location shoot for Sex and the City 2, and the follow up images showing the full cast back together again, now we are treated to Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha not only in costume but in costume as their characters back in the 80s.
There is a spoiler going around about the SATC 2 movie and I’m avoiding reading it, but one can assume it either relates to the movie being a prequel/ including a flashback or the cast doing a heavily digitally-mangled movie about them all when they were in their mid 20s.
For now, let’s leave the spoilers to one side and just have a good laugh at the unfortunate Madonna-inspired clothing, and weep for the time before Apple had blessed the world with the iPod (Samantha is spotted using a retro Sony Walkman).
This must be the time to have characters all dressed-up, the cast of Gossip Girl were spotted in retro costumes recently too.

Does anyone else think that these costumes make them look old? Catrall looks every bit her 100+ years in that get-up.
It was always going to age them unduly. Kim Catrall does look the worst here – I hope they are going to be airbrushed/ otherwise digitally edited Benjamin Button style.
