Serena Williams and fellow athletes surfer Claire Bevilacqua, NFL star Adrian Peterson, martial artist Gina Carano, and NBA player Dwight Howard bare a whole lot of skin for the new issue of ESPN.
The November 2009 ESPN magazine is entitled The Body Issue. We all know those fancy titles legitimise titties and ass, on what is otherwise a perfectly sensible magazine cover and the photos inside.
Williams at least appears to be photographed naked, though for this type of shoot it’s not uncommon for the person to be wearing underwear that can be shopped out later. The best thing about Williams’ naked picture, and all the oiled chesticles under the cut, is that these covers don’t stink of photoshopper’s sweat. All covers get a little brushing, sure, but these photos show strong, healthy bodies as you would imagine them to look.

–drools–
i need to gp ick up my copy.
you’re right, no airbrushing here, except for clothing, if there was any, and maybe some touch ups like arid the eyes and stuff like that.
I’d say add her to the list, but i’d be scared to piss her off, she mihgt break me in half…lol
…then again, her and venus at the same time hmm…sorry, dirty thought
Think away – I’m not gonna stop you. She looks great in the pics and commenters on several other sites would seem to agree with you. She looks happy and healthy and that’s all you want from a cover.
Serena looks beautifully soft and feminine. It does shatter the myth of the body of a steely android she-male everyone expected under her tennis whites.
It does dispel myths, I usually have something snarky to say as soon as people start shedding clothes *rolls eyes*, but I give her a props for this cover!
