The new red band trailer for Saw VI (6) was released early today. Lionsgate were keen to pump up the volume on the first full day of ComicCon. This R-Rated clip is related to the movie poster, shown below.
Opening on October 23, the sixth installment of the “Saw” franchise was directed by Kevin Greutert and stars CostasMandylor, Mark Rolston, Betsy Russell, Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith and Peter Outerbridge. (via ONTD)

For you “Saw” fans out there – google “Kevin Gruetert” and he has a blog called “My Torture Porn” – the by line is – ‘Its Jigsaws World. We Just Die In It.’
Kevin Greutert is a dear friend of mine, and he has worked so hard to get to finally direct a film, although it is not exactly “Gone With The Wind”.
He and I knew each other as assistants on a HORRIBLE Disney movie called “Jungle to Jungle”, and Kevin basically saved what little was remaining of my sanity.
He moved into the editors chair for all of the 5 “Saw” movies, and now has been chosen to direct the sixth.

I saw the first “Saw” movie, and liked it – and to view the trailer, it looks like Kevin has pulled the franchise out of absolute crap and actually had a hand in writing, and fully directing, a good psychological story.

I just read that marvellous post and I am so thrilled that your Googling turned out well for once! It seems he is a great guy who got a break, and yes, that is rare. I was going to lazily rag on the movie, as people are less than hopeful in general, as the franchise has been going on for so long. However, for you and he, I shall give the film a fair go (and I encorage my readers to do the same). xoxo
