Sarah Palin On Saturday Night Live: Video Of Palin On SNL 18 October

Above image from SNL (left to right); Wahlberg, Palin & Michaels. Below image from SNL (left to right); Baldwin, Palin & Michaels.

Sarah Palin appeared on yesterday’s (18 October – SNL 10/18/08) brand new episode of Saturday Night Live. Click below now to watch the two full HQ official videos .

In the first clip, as shown below, Palin can be seen in the opening sketch, which also featured guest appearances from  Mark Wahlberg and Alec Baldwin. And, of course Tina Tey also made an appearance with her spoof impression of Republican vice presidential candidate, Palin, (for the fourth time). The Alaska Governor plays herself in the opening segment and stood with Executive Producer, Lorne Michaels, as the two watched Fey play Palin during a mock news conference.

The second video, also shown below, Palin can be seen in her guest appearance on the Weekend Update alongside Amy Poehler.

All I can say after watching these spoofs, is thank f*ck they are funnier than the last two dreary attempts SNL made at this. Both videos are corkers. You’ll LOL!

So here are the clips, for your enjoyment. Official videos only people, I’m not even messing with the YouTube.com videos, NBC are pulling them off like crazy!

so alec baldwin was almost funny, but probably should have stopped the 98th time he called palin, “tina.” we got it…i swear.

the other 7 and a half minutes were the same unwatchable crap snl has been puttin out for years.

thanks for havin it here so i didn’t have to find it though (=

    1. Hello :D

My pleasure, it’s an easy post. I let their good and bad jokes do all the hard work for me!

I liked the rap and the Moose in the second vid…

    2. Chris I disagree. I loved it. They did not back down and went straight for the jokes for that o none thought they would. One thing I have always respected about SNL is they never back down from an opportunity to slam anyone, regardless of of who it is and whether or not they are there.

With out SNL and their decades of of political satire there would be no Daily Show or Colbert report.

I thought they did a great job and I laughed my ass off.

@ Movie Whore while i agree completely that without snl we wouldn’t have the daily show or it’s spin off. they definitely paved the way and were the true standard bearers. snl used to be a destination in and of itself. a place where the best of worked their asses off to be. that’s just not the case anymore.

the sad thing is they used to be cutting and over the top. take a look at episodes from the late 70s and early 80s, i guarantee they wouldn’t be able to run uncut or uncensored on network tv. hell, even comedy central cut out some of the more controversial bits (though they did it in the name of fitting the show into an hour time slot).

the show has become largely irrelevant due to the fact they don’t have the writers or the talent they once did.

i suspect with running the “call her tina” line into the ground they were going for family guy funny (ala peter vs the chicken). they didn’t have the time or material to get that done.

glad you found it funny, and sorry if it seems like i’m trying to take that away but when i see snl i see the corpse of a once hillarious show.
