Mid-week, there was a report that surfaced on Us Magazine’s website and others that claimed Sarah Palin had gone on a long rant calling Christina Aguilera quite a few unflattering names. It was claimed, specifically, that Palin called Aguilera ‘a demanding beauty queen who’s clearly in over her head.’ And said, ‘Here’s another case of an airhead diva going on TV, running her mouth off, sounding like a fool. She doesn’t understand something so basic about America [as its anthem], yet we’re supposed to tolerate her diva behavior? Americans can see through that.’ The quotes were attributed to a supposed radio interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, relating to Aguilera’s Super Bowl screw up. The Palin impersonator finished off with comments about wanting to ‘deport’ Aguilera, after having ‘to suffer through a performance by a foreigner with a poor grasp of the English language.’ Yeah, because those quotes sound real. I don’t think. A bunch of people picked up the story and ran with it, not checking its original source, which was a parody site similar to The Onion. The quotes were never meant to be taken as literal, and weren’t so much a hoax as a parody. And had Us checked before pressing ‘Publish’, they’d have known that. Gossip Cop put the rumours right, and note the comments were fabrication. Today, Us follows-up with a story where Palin defends Aguilera. Palin, 46, set the record straight on Thursday, ‘I had no interview with Sean [Hannity] and I have never bashed Christina. In fact, I’ve defended her by telling folks to back off the criticism.’

I don’t see what the big deal is?? Christina forgot the words. She has sung the National Anthem many times without a glitch. Last year she performed it twice at the NBA Finals….might I say, perfectly. We’re all human and make mistakes. Palin seems like quite the narcissist. Judging everyone else while she is perfect? I think not. Besides that, who wants a former governor who “quit” office to run for the most powerful position in the country? She obviously couldn’t take the pressure as governor of Alaksa but thinks she can run for Pres? .
