Michael Jackson sadly passed away today and though it took a few hours for the news to spread and be confirmed, it is true. RIP the King of Pop. Michael Jackson 1958-2009.
- Neil Portnow – President/CEO, The Recording Academy® responds to Michael Jackson’s death: “Rarely has the world received a gift with the magnitude of artistry, talent, and vision as Michael Jackson. He was a true musical icon whose identifiable voice, innovative dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and sheer star power carried him from childhood to worldwide acclaim. A 13-time Grammy recipient, Michael’s career transcends musical and cultural genres and his contributions will always keep him in our hearts and memories. We are deeply saddened by this tragic news and our hearts go out to his family and to music lovers around the globe who mourn this great loss.”
- Quincy Jones responds to Michael Jackson’s death: “I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words. Divinity brought our souls together on ‘The Wiz’ and allowed us to do what we were able to throughout the ’80s. To this day, the music we created together on Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad is played in every corner of the world and the reason for that is because he had it all…talent, grace, professionalism and dedication. He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.”

seriously, though…i’ve always been a huge MJ fan. So sad that he has to leave this Earth so young, but at least we won;t have to hear anymore negative publicity about him
…the negative press is only just starting. Trust me. You may wanna switch off your PC for about a week to avoid posts of people brining up old stuff on him. Ick. Some people have no taste.

My Dearest Michael Jackson,
It is so sad to see that god took such a precious angel that was given to us here on earth so suddenly in life. You will be so missed from all your greatest fans and family and friends, life is strange but yet so sad to see such an angel taken away from us yet so young and so much left to give. Your life has been sadden from childhood and life’s journey into your adult life, things were said about you and people accused you of such false information, I have as admire you for your kindness and courage and my heart feels for you for what life dealt you along your life’s journey here with us. You can see in your face that their was so much pain and hurt but yet you gave the world a memory of yourself that will last a life time. My friend may you rest in peace now because all the pain has gone and now your soul can feel free to sing to all the angels in heaven now, you will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to your children and family. Tina Diaz Brooklyn New York
Micheal Jackson final resting place should be in Neverland he loved that place that is where he felt alive being with the children because he missed out on so much as a kid and he truly was a big kid at heart.
Rest in peace Micheal Jackson.
