None of those words belong together in a sentence, but I guess the decision-makers were short a few other shows to nominate. Either that, or they’re really big fans of Mad Libs and they just added a random celebrity and a random show for that category. Whatever the reasoning, Rihanna is continuing to be an adorable over-achiever. The Shy Ronnie Digital Short she did, on the December 5, 2009 show with Andy Samberg, scored a nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics at the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards, according to Rap Up. The song’s writers and producers receive the nomination, not the stars. Which is less interesting. But you can’t have it all. The winner will be announced August 29.
