Hold on to the frayed edges of your very, very well-worn church panties. This news may send you flying backwards in your chair and hurtling with startling velocity across the room. Maybe. According to the never-wrong Us Weekly (stop snickering at the back, you) the people at The Sun UK newspaper are a big, smelly bunch of lie-tellers for spreading rumours about Sex and the City 3. It had been reported in The Sun, earlier in the week, that Sex and the City 2 and 3 were being filmed back-to-back; the rumoured idea of filming a third movie in this way was that the women would look younger, by the time the film was released.
Sex and the City 2 hasn’t even hit theaters, and there are already rumors Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte are coming back for a third [SATC]. [...] “This is not true,” a New Line Cinema representative tells Us Weekly Magazine. According to the UK Sun, the studio wanted to move quickly to film a third flick before the Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon got too old. [Us Weekly]
The passive-aggressive woman-hating reasons given for rumours of a sequel aside, turns out the news of a third movie being in the pipeline were baloney.
