Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper better not have kids any time soon…
In a new interview, Zellweger speaks openly about why she would rather have the fun of being “a cool aunt”, than actually start a family of her own. The actress, who is divorced and as yet has no children, revealed that her reasoning for not wanting kids is that they take over your life. Being, well, children, they require a level of time and care that Zellweger feels honestly that she cannot accommodate and provide. Well, she says this but throws in the word “dictator” into the mix.
After babysitting her older brother Drew’s two kids for an evening, she had quite a bit to say about the entire experience, and none of it was good… She said, “My brother has two children now, so I’ve been playing aunt Renee. They’re two and four. It’s chaos. Moms out there, kudos to you. The cool thing about being an aunt is like, I can leave. No offense to my big brother Drew, but that is slavery. I dare you to take a shower. You can’t do anything unless they let you. It’s a dictatorship. They’re little dictators in their crib.” (via Contact Music)

i’m not really surprised to hear something like this come from her…although i think its not so much that she thinks they’re dictators, but more of she doesn’t want to have to actually eat for anything non Bridget Jones related…lol
I expect this from a Jennifer Aniston type person. Renee just stuck me a little more mild mannered than that!
She will change her mind once she has her own. One’s kids are only what we allow them to be. So if your kids are bad, it is because you raise them to be bad. That is not just my opinion, it is a fact.
Colin.
Oooh, I don’t have kids and therefore I gather my opinion is nonsense on this – but still, I think kids are at least partly a product of their environment. Does sound like she’s scared of raising spoiled kids.
I agree with her one hundred per cent. Personally, I detest children. I don’t see the reason for having them in an overcrowded planet with shrinking natural resources.
And they spread disease.
…they also spread cuteness. Tell me the planet and any of the wildlife on it stands a chance of survival without babies as cute as Levi McConaughey [POST].
I don’t know, Amy.
A few hundred million less Indian babies and the Bengal tiger might have a chance.
And the same goes for the extremely cute Pandas in China.
That made me lol and smile, you so silly
