Peter Andre has made a confession that will surprise no one who followed his reality show with former wife, Katie Price. The 36-year-old singer is a sensitive soul and says he cried himself to sleep, following the break up of his marriage.
Andre seems like a sweet guy. He took a lot of crap during the marriage and he didn’t complain too often. He only had a handful of blowups on camera, while on his reality show too. Perhaps this is why the singer is the one coming off in a more human light in the wake of the split. Price is coming off really badly. The awful interview she did with Piers Morgan was something that required a sweater to watch – she was like an ice maiden. So cold hearted and hard. She is apparently dating again already and many people asked after watch her interview… whether she ever cared at all.
Andre says he thinks the split will make him “a better man”.
“I wish I was stronger. The one thing about Katie is that she can just move on. I can’t do that. Well, not yet anyway,” he told News Of The World’s magazine Fabulous. Insisting he had always been faithful to Price, aka glamour model Jordan, Andre said: “I never cheated on her, from the moment that I met her until, well, I still haven’t.”
He also revealed he had not told his children, Junior, four, Princess, two, and stepson Harvey, seven, that his three-and-a-half-year marriage to their mother was over, because he wanted to protect them. The Australian pop star recalled breaking down while on a shopping trip after being hit with the “realisation that the family unit was smashed to pieces”.
“It all just suddenly hit me in the Ikea car park. I had to go home, and that night I cried myself to sleep.” Andre, who met Price on ITV1′s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, added: “I’m still in a tunnel and can’t see the light yet, but I know it’s there. I know I’ll get there and come out a stronger man – a better man.” (via Metro UK)

Peter’s lovely. Thank God he’s got away from that horrible woman. Hope he goes on to happiness and she gets what she deserves too.
I totally agree, Suzy – he had a really lucky escape.
He’s probably crying that his career met its 2nd death. Seriously, KP was marrying up as far as his public identity is concerned. “Mysterious Girl” only got noticed the 2nd time around because of Chris Moyles, and KP was (dubiously) ‘new’ and marketable around the time they met.
So yes, KP is horrible, but what does that make the parasite that feeds off her?
It’s amazing how badly her little PR attempt went – she would have looked a little better if not for An Audience with an Ice Maiden. I agree he only has a shot at a career for the third time off the back of Moyles and Price. That kinda makes it all the sadder that he’ll surely fail for the third time too.
She’s always had more cojones than him anyway.
I admire her strength too – but she can be strong without being so cold.
