When Perez Hilton was pimp-slapped by someone in the BEPs camp earlier this week, it was predicted this garbage would run and run. Hate slurs make for column inches. When will bishes ever learn.
“These are vulgar anti-gay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community. For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, ‘The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,’ is incredibly dangerous. It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting anti-gay attitudes.” Said Rashad Robinson, Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation’s senior director of media programs in a statement.
“I am saddened GLAAD chose to victimize me further by criticizing me for how I non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent. While I doubt I will get an apology from GLAAD, nor do I expect one, I would just hope people know how difficult it is to intellectualize a situation and think rationally when a thug disguised as a musician is screaming at your face and intimidating you. I am just very fortunate and grateful that nothing more serious happened to me.” Perez responded in his own statement to TMZ.com.
So far there is not a whole lot of sympathy for Hilton. The celebrity blogger is finding that other online writers and even celebrities are turning on him and he is yet to be offered any real support or outpouring of sympathy.
Hilton has gone some way to try to make restitution in another statement in which he expresses regret for talking crap about stars on his site. However, even that seems to have done nothing more than stoke the fire. In the interest of being fair the question would be, what would he have to do to actually be forgiven for the events of the last week.

i know i shouldn’t laugh, but i can’t help but snicker at this guy’s pain. he really is no better than paris hilton in that he has no discernable talent and is just dragging his 15 minutes of fame out.
guess its up now as what goes around comes around.
He lacks the self-awareness to actually really realise the consequences of his actions. Some people online (myself, i think and a lot of the people I spend time with online) are happy to make fun of ourselves and do not consider ourselves above ridicule. For example whenever I make fun of anyone, I will always take a little swipe at myself too – to show I don’t actuall think I’m better than them. Perez seems to be quite vicious from the footage of the fight. He is bitter and agressive and it’s a miracle this did not happen sooner.
Self-deprecating humour is always a sign of true breeding.
However, I believe the real reason why you claw out your own eyeballs is due to the fact that you are adept at recognizing a skank when you see one.

Those who have the balls to take some of what they give out and those who do not. I “claw out” my own eyeballs cos I want people to know I’m only human too and am aware of all my flaws. There is sh*t all a negative commenter can tell me (that’s true) that I am not already aware of. x
isn’t it great there’s no support for this guy? all he’s added to the world is costing poor miss california some beauty queen title by putting his own agenda ahead of all else and then showing us that twittering for the police is a good way to get a bunch of idiots to make 911 calls keeping them away from, i dunno, real emergencies.
now that’s he’s done this his “edge” is going to be blunted quite significantly and any “humour” that comes from it will disappear. he’s going to go back to being the nobody he was until someone laughed at his silly lil cum bubble drawings. twenty quid says he feigns some sort of addiction within 6 months to get some attention as he “comes out of rehab.”
as for glaad. meh. it sickens me they’d consider “fag” a slur. it just isn’t. but at least they’re going after their own for using it as well. only thing worse than making a problem out of nothing is being a hypocrite about it.
i bet he saw some big army of gay guys lining up to defend him and beat up the big thug, instead he underestimated how liberal the liberal groups are going to become in the obama world.

I hope he now knows how it feels to have the masses pointing and laughing en mass, over something that you did not initiate. Glaad, I don’t care about per se. I do care that anyone is making him answer for beins so vicious. They are forcing lots of dumb statements out of him, that are making him look like more of an arsehole. He has never been a victim in his life. Fail.
