Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are only pretending to be friends because the extra column-inches are helping their respective, laughable careers. That’s according to a source who spoke to Us Weekly and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I pointed out in a recent post that Hilton’s recent paparazzi photos showed her with her sister most of the time. Where, in older photos, she was usually on her own. And Hilton’s flop reality show relied on pimping out Brooke Mueller’s breakdowns, so desperate was Hilton to hedge her bets. Well, the same’s true of Hilton/ Lohan and their rekindled friendship. It’s for the benefit of Page Six and they probably don’t even like each other. ‘They’ve put their past behind them and have bonded over all the stuff they have in common,’ says a source. ‘They both feel screwed over by Hollywood and their older friends. Secretly I think they’re only hanging out because they know it makes a better picture. They want to be super-famous again!’ It’s supposition, but I’m buying it.
