absolutely they would. they’ve been creaming their collective pants hoping she’d eventually be convinced to do something with them.

i’ve no faith in the snl crew to team up with palin’s handlers to make funny so i doubt it’d even qualify for funny sad. as for mccain, while i can think of numerous reasons not to vote for him…his health isn’t one of them, “a 72 year old heartbeat away…” is the most overused and annoying cliche of the election (barely ahead of anything “main street vs wall street”).

to parody fey’s AMEX ads (did she do AMEX ads?) is safe but not funny. why? because i’m willing to bet half of america doesn’t know she did AMEX ads.

the humour would be in a palin vs palin debate where they don’t and never do tell us who is who. sadly the real joke in that one would be most americans wouldn’t know the difference.

there’s plenty more that could be done because palin seems to have a sense of humour. unfortunately these days political correctness > humour which is why snl stopped being funny about a decade and a half ago.

I heard her speak for the first time the other day too and so I agree! Sad state of affairs, when a parody, such as this, requires little to no actual mocking.

You think so? I think the SNL heads will eat it up. A terrible spectacle, but some people like car-crash TV!

I have no doubt that Palin will take time from her busy schedule to make a film parody on her own to show to her base audience crowds. Of course, she has time to do such a project instead of, say, spending an hour or so appearing on MEET THE PRESS.
