James Franco is GQ’s Leading Man of the Year

James Franco is one of GQ magazine’s Men of the Year; joining him are Jeff Bridges, Stephen Colbert, and Drake (no idea why he’s there, either). The 15th annual Man of the Year issue is the same which crowns Scarlett Johannson Babe of The Year, in an equally unappealing cover that’s shot right up her nose. I’m not getting this cover. Franco’s not a bad-looking guy, at all, and yet this cover’s unflattering. It’s like his nostrils are yelling at me, ‘WE CAN SEES YOO’. He’s specifically named Leading Man of the Year, so GQ can get good and far up his ass before the Oscar for 127 Hours everyone’s assuming Franco’s gonna win. Icon of the Year goes to Tron Legacy star, Bridges. The other covers are below.

Eva Longoria & Tony Parker Divorce Story False

So, all that p**sing in the street was a waste of every one’s time. In a further update, that it was easier to give a separate post to, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are not divorcing. Seems TMZ dropped the ball on this one, surprisingly. The couple became engaged in 2006 and married in 2007, and as the ‘breaking’ report has been admitted as totally inaccurate on all counts, they’re still together. I hate this kind of ham-fisted updating; but, yeah, there’s no divorce and that’s 15 minutes of my life that could have been spent drinking that I’ll never get back. Admitting everything in their original report was wrong, aside from the couple’s names, TMZ totally edited the content of their original post (for the sake of avoiding confusion) and replaced it with the following: ‘A rep for Eva Longoria tells TMZ our story that Tony Parker filed for divorce is not true. TMZ reported that Tony had filed for divorce. Two clerks at the Bexar County Courthouse in Texas had told us the case was filed and sealed by a family law judge.  But Eva’s rep tells us Tony did not file and does not even have a divorce lawyer. Another clerk at the courthouse now tells us she’s in charge of sealed cases and says no such case has crossed her desk.’ In other words, ‘SIKE’.

Pretty people not adding to the month’s flurry of wedding/ divorce news. Meh.

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker Getting Divorced

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are getting divorced. The Desperate Housewives actress and the San Antonio Spurs player have decided to end their marriage.

The couple became engaged on November 30, 2006. They married in a civil service on Friday, July 6, 2007, at a Paris city hall; the service was followed by a Roman Catholic wedding ceremony at the Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois Church in Paris, France on Saturday July 7, 2007. Longoria and Parker have no children together. However, Longoria has Parker’s initials tattooed somewhere she won’t reveal, and his jersey number, ‘Nine’, tattooed on the back of her neck. At the time of posting, no other details were revealed; nor the reason for the split.

UPDATE: Longoria’s rep is issuing denials about this story, telling Hollywood Life the reports of husband Parker filing for divorce are ‘absolutely false… completely false.’ When asked why the stories surfaced in the first place, they said they ‘didn’t know why’ and that they ‘couldn’t make further comments.’ However, TMZ, the originator of the report is sticking to their guns; they updated as follows: ‘Eva’s people tell TMZ Tony has not filed for divorce. But two court officials at the Bexar County, Texas courthouse tell us a divorce case was filed yesterday and sealed by the judge.’ I hate media p**sing matches. It’s annoying. They’re divorcing or not. There’s no real middle-ground, unless you count separation. Seems to me the news leaking caught them off-guard, perhaps. We’ll see. If papers were filed, yesterday in Texas, they’ll leak online eventually.

UPDATE: So, the original outlet admitted their sources were wrong and updated.

Prince William Engaged to Marry Kate Middleton

Prince William is engaged. It was announced today that Prince William and his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, are engaged. Prince William proposed to Middleton during a holiday in Kenya last month after asking her father for his daughter’s hand. They will marry Spring or Summer 2011, in London. The couple, both 28, have been dating on-and-off for more than eight years, since meeting as students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland; with Middleton being cattily nicknamed ‘Waity Katy’, by the British tabloids, for hanging around with no ring on her finger. They will appear in public for photographs later today, when the Princess-in-waiting is expected to show off her engagement ring, and the first ever interview with the newly-engaged pair will be broadcast tonight.

Prince Charles’ Clarence House office said the heir to the British throne is ‘delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.’ William, who is second in line to the throne, once told an interviewer he wouldn’t marry until he was ‘at least 28 or maybe 30.’ He turned 28 in June and recently completed training as a Royal Air Force search and rescue pilot. Middleton, of whom the royal family approves, is the daughter of self-made millionaires with whom she works; her father worked for an airline and her mother was a flight attendant before they started a mail-order business specialising in children’s parties, run from their farm in southern England. The venue was not announced. After the wedding, the couple will ‘live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.’ This will be the biggest royal event since the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana in 1981.

Christina Aguilera & Cher at Burlesque Premiere

Christina Aguilera and Cher attend the Burlesque Hollywood, CA premiere; only Christina Aguilera bothered to get dressed. Aguilera wore a long green dress that dragged along behind her, and the same bone-dry weave from the Hollywood Walk of Fame presentation ceremony. Cher wore very little. Very, very little. A mini-dress, fishnets, and a push-up bra like some dying-for-attention 14-year-old. Having presumably swapped dressing rooms and outfits at some point, the film’s female leads walked the red carpet in Hollywood for their soon-to-be-released movie, Burlesque. We’ve already seen the poster, trailer, and at least two pieces of musical video from the film; I Am A Good Girl, and Express. On the red carpet, aside from Stanley Tucci and Cam Gigandet, the film’s male leads, were the following: Ryan Seacrest; Jane Fonda; Eric Dane, and Rebecca Gayheart; Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner (the sisters you don’t care about); AnnaLynne McCord with several kinds of horribe weave/ crimes against crimpers in one hairdo; Chaz Bono; Linda Perry; Robin Antin, and Steven Antin; James Marsden; David Furnish; Kristin Cavallari, trying to remain relevant; Will Ferrell; George Hamilton; Matt Goss; Kathy Griffin.

Rihanna’s Kool-Aid Weave at NYC Performance

Rihanna’s long Kool-Aid-colour hair weave needs to be reigned in. If this were the weave of Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus, I’d advise that it be taken outside and shot. Or, instead, we could tell Rihanna the weave ‘went to live on a weave farm’, with a ‘nice family’, ‘somewhere she wasn’t allowed to visit’. These pictures show Rihanna during an NYC performance, on Nov. 15, with her weave set to ‘Stun’, and her pants set to ‘Never’; mainly because she wasn’t wearing any pants. The outfit’s actually semi-cute, though the no pants thing was played out before Summer and there’s a distracting amount going on with her top-half. Like, her mind wondered half-way through changing and went on-stage anyway.
