Rihanna SNL Only Girl in the World Performance

Rihanna performed Only Girl in the World on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live.

On the Saturday October 30, 2010 show, as hosted by Jon Hamm of Mad Men and on which the singer played one half of ‘Ronnie’ and ‘Clyde’ in Ronnie & Clyde: Shy Ronnie Part II, Rihanna sang two tracks. This and What’s My Name? There were some questionable fashion choices during the other song too. At least no tube tops were harmed during the making of this performance. Wearing a matchy matchy ketchup-colour outfit from head-to-toe, I actually think this get-up is worse. There’s a red hair accessory, to match a dress of the same colour. All of which matches her hair. Wow. And she seems to be grabbing her boob at one point in the song. I gather that’s a performance technique to reach higher notes. At least that’s what I gathered from my one and only voice lesson.

Rihanna What’s My Name? Performance on SNL

Rihanna was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live’s October 30 episode.

Below is video of Rihanna performing What’s My Name? on Saturday’s show. The track is one of two she performed this weekend, from her new album, Loud. An album I’ll probably be avoiding as none of the tracks I’ve heard to date have been my cup. Rihanna wears a yellow cardigan and red tube top thing. And five thick ass bracelets on one arm. I get the outfit as much as I get the hair. But maybe that’s just me. The performances were in addition to Rihanna’s Digital Short, as one half of ‘Ronnie’ and ‘Clyde’, in Ronnie & Clyde: Shy Ronnie Part II.

Rihanna Ronnie & Clyde SNL Digital Short Video

Rihanna stars in the below Ronnie & Clyde SNL Digital Short with Andy Samberg.

The 22-year-old was the musical guest on this weekend’s episode, as hosted by Jon Hamm. The singer was in rehearsals last week, preparing for her dual performances of What’s My Name? and Only Girl in the World, two songs I’ve been going to great lengths to not listen to in full. Those are coming. Below is a follow-up to December 2009′s Shy Ronnie sketch; the one that scored Saturday Night Live’s writers an Emmy Awards 2010 nomination. Entitled Ronnie & Clyde: Shy Ronnie Part  II, Rihanna and Samberg star as ‘Shy Ronnie’, and ‘Clyde’ in this bank robber-themed SNL Digital Short from Saturday October 30′s show.

Kanye West Twitter Picture of Finished Album

It has only been hours since supposed uncensored photos of Kanye West’s junk hit the ‘net. So he has to distract us. The rapper, who’s getting ready to release a new album, neglected to tweet a picture of his balls. Instead, he shared on his Twitter a picture of his album. Above, if you click and then once again to view in full size, is My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in its finished form. You can also see, in the full size version, the album’s tracklisting. On the disc itself, you can see the 13 chosen tracks in order. As well as a sticker on the case warning that it’s watermarked to trace its owner. Marked as ‘Explicit’ and ‘Revised’, this does explain why most of his album leaked and was posted online a few days ago.

Kanye West Nude Photos Leaked… then Pulled

Kanye West was Brett Favre, before Brett Favre was Brett Favre. And he was allegedly emailing women pictures of his junk, before it was cool. Which only goes to prove that he’s both the voice and the penis of this generation. As a follow-up to the previous story that West had been email-flirting with women on MySpace by sending pictures of his goods, we have what are supposedly leaked photos. One of the girls who sold the photos said, ‘These pics have been floating around since he hit so many girls up on MySpace. He probably sent them to many, many women.’ Reported leaked pictures show West shirtless, and others purport to show the rapper with his parts pulled out of his shorts. MediaTakeOut.com claimed to have the naked photos and posted those yesterday. However, if you look at their original post, all that remains is the text ‘images removed’. They appear to have been yanked. Or at least moved. It should be pointed out this could be anyone. There are pictures of some dude I think is West, as we can see him from the torso up. But the cropped picture of someone’s junk could be anyone. Literally. They crop out the head and there’s no proof that I can see those are even him. The censored photos are below.

LeAnn Rimes Responds to Shape Controversy

LeAnn Rimes has taken to her Twitter to defend herself, in the wake of the Shape magazine cover scandal; a scandal in a teacup, as it turns out. As an addendum, Rimes has given her side of the story. Not that she comes off any better, but it does change the perspective a little. Valerie Latona, editor of Shape, has complained to the press that her email was taken out of context. Seems not to me. Even if so, she probably shouldn’t be emailing readers phrases such as ‘Please know that our putting her on the cover was not meant to put a husband-stealer on a pedestal’, if that isn’t literally what she means. As though people aren’t going to forward that on to the media. Moreover, Latona claims the email was sent to only a small group of people; speaking to USA Today, Friday, Latona explains she emailed ‘a mere 40 readers out of almost six million’. Which is a fair enough clarification. It doesn’t change the tone of that email, nor how it reads. But whatever. She then makes herself look like a cowardly backpedaling ass, by saying she finds the story of Rimes having to endure emotional turmoil caused by her own cheating ‘compelling’. ‘I stand by the fact that LeAnn’s story is compelling and her courage and strength in the face of so much adversity is compelling,’ Latona said. ‘I wrote to those women apologizing that our cover choice did not make them happy, as I have done for other cover stars in the past.’ The cheater, who played part in the break-up of two households, wasn’t the one suffering. Also, that’s not compelling. It’s annoying. Her whining about ‘pain’ she caused is annoying. She caused the suffering of others. Including the children in Eddie Cibrian’s former household.

Rimes went on her Twitter late Friday to defend herself. Because that’s what she does every time this happens. And it happens a lot. What she had to say did poke holes in the original story, to her credit. She was not aware of the emails. But she was aware that Shape were throwing her a party to celebrate her ‘husband-stealer’ cover. Rimes tweeted a statement, then shared the party invitation.
