Britney Spears may actually put down an icy Frappe long enough to do some actual work [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Spears a.k.a. ‘The Frappe’, has been drafted in as part of the cast for Quentin Tarantino’s new film, a remake of the 1965 cult film ‘Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!’
According to The Telegraph:
The movie sees three thrill-seeking strippers encountering a young couple in the desert. Spears’ character murders the boyfriend with her bare hands before taking the girlfriend hostage. The troubled singer will also have sex scenes with another girl before the drama ends in a blood-bath.
A source said: “Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant. She’s delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around.

This is just an extremely brief note to say ‘Hello‘ to the surge of visitors that I have gotten over the weekend and today (mostly here due to the Brangelina twin pic spread from Hello!) [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
There are a lot of you floating about in here, happily lurking, so I just want to take a moment to say two quick things…
First of all, I am so grateful to you… yes, you… for reading this site.
Second of all, don’t be shy! I don’t bite… well not often! I notice that there are a lot of you reading, but no comments as yet, so I am taking the liberty of getting the ball rolling.
Think Mary-Kate is hiding something? Agree that Batman is too violent for young children? Or are you just permanently perplexed by Miley Cyrus’ chin (lol)?
It is really easy to have your say on any given topic. You don’t have to register or fill in those annoying word verification forms. You can be anonymous, choose a nickname or use your site name and link.
I moderate to prevent spam, as I actually give enough of a shit about you as a reader to protect you from Viagra ads and idiots yelling ‘First!’… but other than that consider this an online second home if you will; somewhere for you to hang out and chat to like minded people in the comments section.

Word has it that Mary-Kate Olsen has still not given police an official account of what transpired on the night Heath Ledger passed away. She has, instead, taken the celebrity justice-y step of giving word to the media [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Olsen, who much to her chagrin, was the subject of much press speculation following the tragic night in question, released a statement saying she knew nothing.
Now, see this is how it is done…
You don’t waste your effing time talking to the po-po. What are they going to do, especially this late in the day?
Let celebrity justice and trial-by-media work its magic and release a statement… and everything will be aiiiight!
“Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them,” said the statement from attorney Michael C. Miller on Monday.
“Regarding the government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed,” the statement from her attorney continues.
The statement concludes:
The statement concludes: “We don’t know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the government’s inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate.”

In response to questions about his daughter Lindsay’s impending nuptials, Michael ‘Jailbird’ Lohan (while working under the pretence that anyone actually thinks he is; one, a real father; and two, religious) took it upon himself to give the following ridiculous quote… [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
“I haven’t heard anything (about an upcoming wedding) from Lindsay, but if she was marrying Sam, I don’t think she’d ask me to walk her down the aisle,” says Michael. “She knows about my (Christian) faith … she just wouldn’t ask.”

A Hindu leader has asked Mike Myers to personally apologise for his Fail! movie ‘The Love Guru’ [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
The Universal Society of Hinduism are reportedly upset at the mocking stereotypes Myers portayed in the film, which “lampoon Hinduism”.
In a statement released to WENN on Monday, the group’s leader Rajan Zed said that although the apology may not completely undo the damage done to the community, it might help “heal the wounds somewhat of a disturbed Hindu populace”.
Zed, the man who urged Hindu’s to boycott the film’s opening, went on to say:
“Ksama, or forgiveness, is one of the main virtues of Hindu ethics. If Mike Myers offers a genuine public apology, Hindus would not only absolve him but might also pray for his success in future movies.”

It seems no amount of record breaking and postumous Oscar buzz is enough to please some people [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
Batman: The Dark Knight reportedly sparked controversy in the U.K.
Angry parents are complaining that the movie, which is rated a U.K. 12A (meaning those aged 12 and over can see it unaccompanied, while younger children can watch it with an adult) is ‘too graphic’ for their youngsters.
Um… did they not watch the previews? Did they not see the trailers?
This movie has been labelled edgy and dark from the get-go… what did they expect?
At least 60 people have contacted the British Board of Film Classification. They insist some scenes are so violent, the film should be given a higher age.
