Due to the severe carpal tunnel I suspect I am developing from covering the VMAs in general, this will be one of the last posts on the subject.
I just found the video where President Obama called Kanye West a jackass for the VMA outburst over Taylor Swift. As we know, if the Pres. says it, than it is so. I guess this means that West, who has promised to go off and have a jolly good think about what he has done, is really a jackass.

HOW in the world can anyone NOT love our new President?? I don’t mean to go all Kanye West caps on y’all, but you want to talk about “keeping it real?”
President Obama is the real deal.
What can I say? I voted for the man, and for the most part, I am happy with what he is trying to accomplish cleaning up the mess of eight years under the last administration, but as a person, the guy just cracks me up.
I wish all of the crazy racist right wingers wackjobs in this country would wake up and smell 2009 – we have a great man in office who is capable of doing great things, all the while “keeping it real”.
Thank the Lord.
Plus, the fact that he is our President makes Amy’s mama happy, as I recall.

This has won him a lot of fans, I feel almost like he is my cool uncle or something. I can only imaging the relief you feel having him for Pres. Clearly his opinion is just damn spot on!!!
Oh SUCH relief – now it’s is just the moron 30% of the country that are getting violent and more freakish every day that we worry about. But they are getting pretty marginalized at this point. Every horrid thing they do is being shown on the news – they cannot hide the crazy anymore.
But I predict we are going to have President Obama for 8 full years, and we will come out so much better both as people and as a country.
The President was here in Pitt yesterday – very exciting. But we are having the G20 Summit here next week, and it is going to be a bit nutty. We are not leaving the house, and our neighbor is not even going to work – the possibility of rioting is just too strong.

Love it! At least President Obama is trying to remain in touch with the pop-culture news of the week that you & I (the common folk) are buzzing about. It certainly adds a more human, more likable side to the guy.
