This is the second most heartbreaking news I’ve heard, after I found out that Santa Claus wasn’t real (last week). Liam Gallagher has confirmed to MTV Italy that brother and band-mate Noel Gallagher’s decision to leave in August, after bitter feuding, is permanent. As such, the band is looking for someone who will inevitably be 10% as talented to replace him. The remaining members have formed a new group and are recording together under a new name.

As a Blur boy, I have to snicker and point. But Noel really was the hotter and more talented of the Galls. Good thing they’re changing the band name since the Oasis brand is tired as hell.
Agreed that the more talented brother left. I guess they got sick of the sight of each other after all these years. Oh, and I was totally a Blur girl one of my fave songs was outside their usual but still great, Song 2… WOOHOOO [LINK]
