The NY Times fashion blog The Moment weren’t satisfied making fun of cancer-stricken Dexter actor Michael C. Hall. They had to go and make fun of another media favourite, Jennifer Aniston. The NY Times blog made a remark about the weight of Aniston and also Kate Hudson and Courteney Cox, as the ladies walked the red carpet at this Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards 2010. The female writer asked what the women had in common. Rather than just admitting they were fierce bishes with great pins, she offered this pearl of wisdom.
“What do Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Courteney Cox have in common?… I could have sworn that some of the ladies who showed up at the Golden Globes on Sunday had put on a little weight.”
The provocative essay is called “Now Scrutinizing: A Rounder Golden Globes.” Port adds, “It’s almost criminal to name names, because the very actresses whose body-mass indexes have been the subject of endless tabloid speculation are the very ones now sporting sexier curves.”

WTF?!? they look the way they alwasy do. if anything, they may have theior girdles pulled up extra Dita vin Teese tight causing them to look curvier, but that’s it.

I had the impression the people at The NY Times knew their stuff – until two days ago. They’re pretty disgraceful. Lost pretty much all respect for them.

I like the idea that maybe, after years of starving and exercising themselves to the bones, that they might actually let up a bit. Jennifer Aniston has appeared too thin for a while now. I remember when Friends first aired. Jen weighed about 20 pounds more than she has these past few years and she had fantastic legs. Women all over the world were cutting their hair to look like ‘Rachel’!
Screw the NYT. Of couse, that is really not a new sentiment to me.
I remember Jennifer Aniston version 1.0 as well, jmflynny. The girl gives good leg – my only issue was how catty the people at the times were still being.
