The Non-Anorexic Ways Tori Spelling Got Skinny

Tori Spelling on The Today Show, as she discusses her new book/ her weight.

Tori Spelling made an appearance on The Today Show, promoting her new book. She actually called her third book Uncharted TerriTORI, because she’s an idiot who needs her book to have her name in the title itself. During the promotion for the title, the 37-year-old once again explains why she’s so thin. She could just point to every single childhood picture and video of herself that exists, as she’s always been (at least) slender. Or, she could point at family photos as it’s not like she comes from a chubby family. Instead, she gives the media what they want… a laundry list of non-anorexic reasons she’s so thin. Specifically, she blames persistent stomach problems, migraines, nerve problems, and a battle with swine flu for her weight loss. Check out the video and her explanation…

[On why she's so thin] “I’ve never had a great stomach, but (being ill) just completely tore up my stomach and broke down my immune system, and I’ve basically just been a mess ever since, stomach-wise. It’s about rebuilding my immune system.” Tori has repeatedly been hospitalized with stomach pains in the past year. In October she took to Twitter to say she weighed 107 pounds, after tabloid stories reported her weight had dipped below 100.  She writes that she hates the eating disorder rumors: “I’m a role model for a lot of women out there, so I hate that they say these things unwarranted, without any research and facts. I think it’s doing a disservice to women out there that look up to any celebrity.” Tori also says she worries about how her weight drama will affect her daughter, Stella, now 2: “That worries me every single day, the way they attack me in the press. I’m so grateful that she can’t read yet. I’m hoping they’ll let up on that by the time she gets old enough to understand, but I’m going to have to explain to her that this is what happens.” [The Huffington Post]
