almost sad i watched that. she ain’t got it. you can tell she’s winded at the end of the song. it actually starts when she tried the old “i don’t have the voice/energy i used to, you guys sing it” that every band making a comeback uses.

she had to abort when she couldn’t find one person who knew the damn words.

they’re headlining bamboozle fest in jersey. which would have been great to check out if it were a 1 day show, but they spread it to 2 and there’s not enough must-sees on either day to warrant a sick day. ah well.

Hey, they played three songs, ‘Spiderwebs’ is linked to in the main post (my layouts do not lend themselves well to posting more than two videos in the main body).

I kind of sense a pity tour too, which breaks my heart. I would love to hear some new music from them but it seems they cannot be bothered. Boo.

a lil odd they decided to re-emerge so to speak with two of their slower songs. while all the guys in the band were talented muscians, it was always gwen’s high energy that drove em. “it’s my life” especially was essentially the nail in the coffin of no doubt (a cover they recorded for the greatest hits album to essentially avoid writing a new song) and led to gwen’s solo career.

i just hope this isn’t a charity tour because the other guys are down on their luck and she does feel some sort of loyaty towards em. i guess we’ll see if this album they speak of actually happens…

as for the clothes…gwen was always the sexy girl in the ugly clothing. she always pulled it off. and still did IMO.

offputting was she was in mostly black while everyone else was in white. that never happened back in the day. was kinda like them sayin “here’s our meal ticket…”

ahh well, i hope it works out, i dug em back in the day.

Thank you for posting the vids! I missed them performing this morning b/c I forgot they were going to be on!! I love No Doubt and Gwen is one of my role models. Can’t wait to see them live this summer.
