Nicole Richie’s mommy senses are tingling. Because one of her babies is being bothered by creepy paparazzi and there’s not much she can do to stop it.
Annoyed by photographers taking pictures outside of her daughter Harlow Winter Madden’s school, Richie posted an open letter to one agency in particular. One that already has a bad rep for this sort of thing after posting Taylor Momsen’s tampon pictures and pictures of Britney Spears getting her period (‘proving’ she wasn’t pregnant… so it was ‘news’). Read her angry, CAPS open letter to X17…
Dear X17,
THANK YOU so much for posting the video of your employees sitting outside of my daughter’s school, because now the entire world can see how creepy and disgusting you are. You do not get to spend 200 dollars on a camera, and think that gives you a free pass to shadow my child. These are strangers, grown men, stalking young children. You think that’s ok?
Here’s a better visual: Pulling up to school and seeing grown men slouched in black windowed cars outside of a preschool, all day. I’m not even there, so you cannot say you are following me as you always do. You are stalking the children. Now how do you feel? I PROMISE YOU that I am going to do a background check on each and every person that I see there. For the safety of my children and others. Because the last time I did a check on your staff, I found they had no license. Remember that day? The day that ended with a car accident and me in a hospital? You, x17, better be pretty confident in your actions, and feel really good about what you are doing.
If I find out anyone has a suspended, restricted or invalid license, I will have them thrown in jail before they can pick up the phone and call their lawyers. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. If you do not want photogs following you, quit being a media whore. Nobody follows celebrities who don’t invite the attention.
Be a mom, not a media whore. Mom’s don’t sell exclusives to mags for money and attention, because their children deserve privacy.

Yes, it’s totally ok to stalk children because of who their parents are! That’s like saying it’s ok for debt collectors to go to your childrens school and ask them for the money.
How can you say it’s ok for paps to STALK a celebrity’s child because the celebrity likes media attention? Seriously. I don’t like your attitude, so I am thinking it would be ok to slap your kid because of it. Wait a minute, maybe I do like your view on this topic, I could dole out a whole lot of punishment to the offspring of those that I don’t like. You might actually be brilliant. And I might have some bitch slapping to catch up on!

While you are sitting around catching up on celebrity gossip it’s clear to everyone here you should be catching up on life and how it should work. Whether or not a mother is a media whore, God knows there are tons of them out there, that doesn’t give anyone a right to prey on the children. How pathetic are they that they have to prey on children without permission opposed to with it anyway? Because that would be putting in a little more effort than these freaks are willing to put in, right?
I love this letter as well but if the legal system cannot even put Lindsey Lohan in jail…how is she going to succeed?
