This is celebrity justice at its finest. Nicole Richie’s probation for her 2006 DUI charge, where she drove the wrong way on a local Los Angeles highway on ramp which resulted in her 87 minutes in jail followed by probation and alcohol education classes, has been extended. Where others may get into actual hot water for a failure to attend enough of their court-ordered classes, Richie got handed down another year. That’s pretty much like punishing a child who drew on the walls by giving them a box of crayons while yelling at them never to do it again. The probation is being extended until March 2011 in part because Richie has had two children since her original punishments. I’ve got to say, it’s kind of bull to say she was too busy just because she popped out two kids. She had time to launch several fashion lines and hit the red carpet every second day of the week. Yeah, I’m pretty sure she could have fit in more classes if she wanted.
