Naomi Campbell Won’t Be a Hostage to her Past

In those poorly-chosen words Naomi Campbell lets you know the price you’ll pay, if you keep bringing up her violent past. The model, who turns 40-years-old on May 22, 2010, spoke out regarding the latest in a long line of assault allegations.

Her driver, Miodrag Mejdina, pulled over and told a traffic agent that Campbell had assaulted him. Then he either had a change of heart after the initial complaint or just didn’t want someone tall, thin, and fabulous firebombing his house. Either way, Campbell got away with it again. She said she’d worked hard to wriggle out of any real consequences for her previous actions and would not be held hostage to her past. Oddly, I’m not putting that many words in her mouth.

“I was accused of unacceptable behavior towards a driver in New York,” [Campbell] says. “I have worked very hard on correcting my previous wrongdoings and I will not be held hostage to my past.”  [People]
