Nadya Suleman has been discouraged from buying a family pet, by the animal charity PETA.
Although they presumably do some actual charity work and help wildlife or whatever, the organisation seem to spend a disproportionate amount of their time sending press releases to celebrities and pouring paint over people. How this is supposed to stop the mass-slaughter of bunnies/ unicorns etc. is anyone’s guess.
The request comes after Suleman came out with a load of nonsense last week, saying that she would like to buy a family pet for her children.
In particular there was a mention of a potbelly pig, which the mother claimed she wanted to diaper and let roam around the house and live outside the family’s $564,000 La Habra, Calif. home because of its smell.
“Like children, pigs are intelligent, social beings with complex needs,” PETA’s Michelle Cho wrote in a letter to Suleman, given exclusively to US magazine. ”They require a lot of attention, space, and exercise as well as a huge financial commitment.”
“Keeping a pig outside and making him or her a playmate for your children – who do not understand a pig’s many needs and will only pay attention to him or her when it suits them – is not an acceptable way to treat an intelligent animal such as this,” Cho conluded.

*SIGH* just when it seems as thoguht she’s gone away. you would think a woman with 50 gazillion kids wouldn’t want anything else in her house, yet she wants, of all things, a pig!
For once PETA is doing something right by saying she doesn’t need it. Now, if they can go take the rest of her animals…er…children…lol

A pig is just what she needs! She proves she does not have it together by these ideas and statements. Nadya needs to explain why her autistic son has bite marks, black eye and wanders around all night. Just because he is autistic doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have some structure and routine in his life. The pig can run around all night with him and the other kids. She is such a pathetic joke for a mother.
