Whitney Port’s new reality show on MTV, entitled The City, is allegedly staged from start to end credits, just like its sister show MTV’s The Hill’s [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
According to the NY Post:
One source tells us, “She doesn’t really work. She is hardly ever in the office.” Those who do work for von Furstenberg, however, are in the office daily and “can’t get their work done because MTV tells them they can’t move any thing at their work stations. They do so many reshoots that everything has to look exactly the same every day.”
I stopped noticing the fakery on The Hills because it became too hard paying attention, when LC’s side-boob was on show the entire GD time. Every time I tried to pull away my gaze and watch Speidi go on a staged dinner-date, there they’d be, sagging and showing out of the side of some barely there dress that she probably got on loan.
What’s that you say… you didn’t know?
Well, yes it’s true. Most clothes and props on the show are on loan. Even fancy LA people put things on layaway. It’s like the Beverly HObillies Layaway Plan. The Hills cast wear clothes that are on loan and also drive cars given to them as publicity stunts.
GO LAYAWAY!
MTV’s ‘The City’ is premiering tonight, Monday 29 December, at 10pm EST/9pm Central. To watch the trailer make the JUMP…

they get rid of all music on the network, no one is watching the hills anymore according to the ratings, and they put this on the air, why?
Mystery man – MTV asked on Twitter about a week ago ‘do you guys want more music on the channel’ and I’m all like DUH!
really? what did everyone else say?
MM – yep, I can’t see their replies but I hope everyone else said SHIT YEAH!
I’m from NYC and have lived there all my life and I don’t even recognize it. That’s how you know it’s fake. I think it might be a NYC stage set somewhere in LA.
Angela – Hi there, thanks for leaving a comment =)
You know you are most probably right, it would be cheaper that flying people back and forth and renting NYC buildings too!
