Mischa Barton was forcibly removed from her home on Wednesday afternoon (July 15), and placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold.
The 23-year-old must have smelled a lack of scandal in the air and flipped out for the amusement of those around her. She’s not going crazy yo’, she’s remixing a Cheeto-era Brit Brit for the ‘09. She happened to do so while I was in a cracky stupor, but what can I say, I’m not mad at her.
Barton is currently on a 5150 hold. The same as old Britters was held on in 2008, twice, back when she had the sads. This involuntary hold means the person is considered to present a danger to themselves or others. The actress was removed from her crib by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), before being transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday evening.
In a statement, Barton’s rep Craig Schneider tells Us: “Police were involved due to Ms. Barton’s celebrity status; to ensure her safe transfer to medical treatment for which she remains hospitalized as per the recommendation of her doctor.” (via Us Weekly)

This is oddly unexpected and the news has knocked a few people for six. There is no news yet of what the heck made her snap. She called the popo herself from what I gather, so perhaps it was because someone made her eat,.
Girl is NUTS. Her emotional instability is fairly well documented since The OC years. She had a pretty pathetic breakdown after Cisco Adler dumped her; presumably for being a total nutter. She’s been on a steady Winehouse-y decline for years…the methface doesn’t lie.
Also, why do Brits think she’s the sh!t? She’s winning the current Hello! “Most attractive” poll as I type. I never found her remotely pretty.
I have never really noticed her nuttiness. She’s so boring that most of the time, that she is entirely off my radar. I used to think she was pretty when she was on the OC, but yep, methface ate away at whatever looks she used to have. Sigh… Maybe her and Fergie should start a club.
