Seriously, what does this woman really expect to get from this lawsuit? Is it about the “wrong” or the money?

By saying that you are suggesting that there are never any actual acts of racism or stereotyping or anything of that nature. Furthermore, that no one of any race, class, or group should be allowed to complain about said racism or stereotyping.

Now, I’m not saying that what Miley Cyrus did was considered racist. I being Asian myself, fyi. I could care less what face she was trying to make. It was most likely the photographic result of a young person showing her young self doing stupid things young people would do. I highly doubt it was intended to be malicious. Heck, I don’t even think she was thinking at that moment, “Oh, I wanna make fun of those Asian people – let me make a face to mock them.” Seriously, the lawsuit is ridiculous.

But like I said. Firecracker’s comment was more offending than this dumb photograph of Miley. No one would care to call it racist had it been the face of your average Joe. But, again, that doesn’t mean that we as human beings are not allowed to point out acts of racism and demand that such persons be punished for them. Considering there aren’t that many people of Asian descent in the United States, I say we have every reason to be on guard and to fight against actual malicious behavior. Besides, the same people who make this kind of commentary are probably the same folks who say black people or Latino people need to get over themselves. But, I digress.
