Miley Cyrus has been called out by an Asian equality group, over her half-arsed ‘apology’ left on her blog [Website – Amy Grindhouse].
As you may remember, last week Cyrus offended entire continents full of people, when pics of her surfaced where she appeared to be mocking an Asian friend. After being dissed by equality groups and race relations/ news blogs alike, the tween star took to her personal blog to defend her actions, “I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces!” she wrote. “Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context!”
Well, her explanation was kind of a turd and I am not the only one who noticed. “It’s not a real apology. We’re not backing down without a fuller apology,” George Wu, Executive Director of the OCA, an Asian-American equality group told Celebuzz. “The picture is offensive and now this statement is inadequate,”
Cyrus - prosti-tot extraordinaire – and her weak-ass apology need to get together and have another think about how they can stop making people of Asian descent so effing angry. I can see Tot taking to her blog in the next day or so, in order to give another CAPS laden apology, rather than do what any other celebrity would *cough… Michael Phelps… cough* and have their spokes-whore write their impersonal and insincere ’sorry’ and be done with it.
Anyone else thinking that another side-boob shot is due about now. When in doubt an undue, distracting flash will sort things out!
UPDATE – Cyrus finally gave a proper apology.

who’s george wu? why does anyone give a damn that he’s not happy with an apology that never should have been necessary. never saw these pics, but if she’s with friends and it bothered the friend i’m sure it would have been handled within the group of friends.
george wu needs to realise that if he wants equality he better learn that people get made fun of, especially for things that make them different. humour doesn’t come form hate.

people need to lighten up and learn not everything is an attack on what they consider holy. if they can’t do they, they sure as hell shouldn’t expect anyone to care.
don’t her people tell her anything? if you’re going ot make an apology, make it at least sound serious, not like you’re being made to say something. geesh! no wonder she’s getting replaced byher sister…lol
